Q: Are these collars suitable to use as replacements for the PetSafe Boundary Fence; is the nylon too thick for the receivers to slide onto? Thanks.

I have a zap collar for my dog and the collar on it is 3/4" This collar is 7/8" and I tried it..it was to big to attach it. So, I guess it depends on the width of your original..the thickness is very similar to my zap collar.

Q: Is this a breakaway collar? Like will it break/open if the dog gets stuck on something and is choking?

Hi, I am a long term doggy sitter with a daycare side business and I also have 5 dogs of my own. So I am speaking from experience. This particular collar I bought for my older pitbull - her name is Momma. She is very docile and calm. So it is perfect for her. It IS very good quality. Just be very careful with the this type if you are putting doggy in a sitter/boarding situation where he is not in your care. The clasp on these are pretty good, but they come loose from the strap. That is the issue I have with these types. My dog Momma doesn't have to be walked with a leash so it's not big deal. But a younger dog, just be careful with it. Make sure the strap is super tight every time. This seller is a great seller too.

Q: Why at checkout this item shows it's small-medium? I need Medium-Large cause I have a mixed German Shepherd/Husky and he is 9 months and already 75lbs

Hi. A small medium is not going to fit. I have a now 7 month old 96 pound Great Dane . He used that size for a very short time. I suggest measuring his neck it is the only way to be sure. :0)

UPDATE!!! POOR - not sturdy; poor quality

The update is that this is a very poor collar and is made with inferior materials. This was ordered/received in January/February of 2024...and in less than 3 months, the buckle broke and the collar is useless!You've heard the expression, "you get what you pay for"; well, pay a little more and get a better quality collar!My initial review is below.- + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - +This one does the job and the price was good. However, the quality of the material (thickness/sturdiness) is not as good as the other 2 collars I purchased.
