Fettuccine - Healthy Konjac Shirataki Noodles, Low Carb Keto Pasta, Gluten Free, 6 Pack

This was my first time trying Shirataki noodles. After doing some research online, I was prepared for the worst, a slimey, rubbery texture and an awful sulfur smell. To my surprise these noodles had very minimal odor to them and the texture didn't bother me. I rinsed them thoroughly under cold water and then fried them in a pan (no water no oil) for about 10 minutes to dry out the noodles. I then served with some alfredo sauce and shrimp bites and it came out fantastic! Even though the package says 2 servings it only made about a cup of noodles. They are a bit pricey for what you get but they are a great low carb low cal option and satisfied my craving for pasta.

These work in recipes for rice or glass noodles. They have ZERO scent, even before rinsing. The texture also is best if after rinsing, you put them in a dry skillet and cook them until all moisture is evaporated. Now they are ready to be used in Pad Thai, drunken noodles, summer rolls or anything else you might use rice noodles in. I do not recommend using in place of egg noodles or Italian pasta dishes - the texture is too springy.

I’ve gotten these noodles once before and they were soft and pliable. This order was just delivered. Opened three bags. Really gross. Noodles are stuck together, hard, and brittle. Inedible. No return policy. I spent way too much on these to have a totally wasted product. I won’t buy again simply because it’s not worth the money to hope you get a usable product. And a company that doesn't offer refunds for a damaged product is unethical. Too bad.

Color is clear white not the more yellowish color of ordinary pasta, but it is good and does not stick together like another low carb pasta I have eaten.

I bought the first iteration of konjak noodles that were available in the US. You've probably all heard of the brand. At the time, you had to buy an entire case, and I did. I washed them, I rinsed them, I cooked them, but nothing could get rid of that horribly nasty taste. The first packet disgusted me. The second packet almost made me throw up. I threw out the rest. So, it took me a very long time to try another brand, but I tried these and they're great! Yes, the texture is not *exactly* the same as the texture you get from regular pasta. But, as a low-carb eater, it is such a joy to be able to eat pasta again without consuming excess calories. I could go on about the various ways I've prepared them, and the recipes I plan to try, but my bottom line is that these feel and taste like pasta with none of the nastiness of earlier konjak noodle brands. It's a miracle!

Defective second package out of six. Rubbery texture, tiny black dots, crinkled. Tried to cook it for 10 min (should come precooked) and the texture did not change. First picture shows defective noodles, second shows good noodles. I do not know how many more packages out of box of six are defective. Tried to return the item and to get my money back, but received message "Not returnable". Will never buy this brand again. Waist of money. Gave it three stars, because I expect people to read this review. If I could, I would give it 0 stars.

I was buying this at Wally World until they took it off the shelves. I've tried other brands but these always seemed to have the best flavor/smell. I do the low carb thing and I like using these in the Instant Pot with some bone broth, shredded chicken, mushrooms, heavy cream, butter and seasoning. Makes for a super easy chicken noodle soup on those days when you need that warm comfort food on keto. When I tried some of the other brands I would get some kind of fishy odor no matter how much I rinsed them and that makes all the difference. Also as a perk it is actually cheaper to order them in the box from Amazon than buying in the store.

I'm a big pasta eater and all Italian so I was skeptical to say the least lol. I knew this was plant derived so I went in knowing it would have a different texture so as long as you know that you wont be shocked at the taste. I mean, come on, its 20 calories for the bag!!! Once you mix it with your own sauce the noodles absorb that flavor and I love it! Its healthy, makes me feel like I'm not missing out on my carbs and you can mix it up with so many different things! Chicken, feta, roasted tomato is yummy! Best part, it takes like 6 minutes to prep and cook!!! I will definately be buying it again and more shapes!
