I say loved because I used the snips exactly once to cut a cat-5 that was in my way. All the other cat-5 moved immediately after seeing the gore of 8 wires and cotton pull spilling out... the copper cores exposed to the stale air of the space between ceiling tile and floor above. You bet those other cat-5 moved outta the way... bitches gotta make room for cat-6.I literally lost the whole set the next day on another job site. Goodbye beautiful scissor snips and razor knife... goodbye you beautiful bastard of a mutli-tool sheath... the flashlight and stupid cheap marker were worthless - i almost threw those away 'cause i couldn't even "lose" them on my coworkers' desks... Everyone kept saying 'hey carl, ain't these yours?' and i'd be like "nope!" and they'd be like 'but they fit your sheathe so perfectly... here have them back, buddy... and stop trying to give them away, nobody wants the cheap flashlight and pen.'

The price and tools included is and excellent value. I hesitated in buying the product for work, but the tools and pouch combination was an excellent value that beat purchasing them separately from other companies. My original thought was that if anything was deficient, I would still have a pouch I could use. The other electricians in the company were so impressed that they purchased this kit as well. The shears are a bit finicky but are sharp, I removed the marker and use it to securely hold a Klein combination tech screwdriver (excellent tool) and I gave away the flashlight since I own one that I prefer. I like that the knife has a blade guard that is housed in the handle when it isn't needed, though be mindful to store the blade guard in the handle before inserting the blade in to the pouch (the leather pouch is snug and will probably hold on to the guard permanently).

A wonderful snip. Fits in the hand well and never pinches the fingers. I’ve tried Kline and some other but southwire has made the perfect set. I just replaced my old one of 5 years because I cut everything with them and they just started to stick a bit. But still functional none the less. As for the pouch. I tend to just stick the cutters in my back pocket and they are always there without having a holster on the hip. I cut everything from about 16 gauge down to 22 and they never fail. And everything in between. I recommend to anyone that these snips will not fail you. Cheaper than the big names and better to boot. If you have large hands this is the set.
