5 months later: I can’t go without these. They still look like and grip like new. I rotate them 90° everyday as they tend to spin a bit in the analogs. This prevents any flat spots and promotes even wear. Picture with cable connected is from 3/30/20, showing minimal wear. 3 months later: In love with convex grips, wondering how I went without for so long. They hold up incredibly well if you don’t expose them to greasy substances, as the rubber is porous enough to absorb them. For real, if you take care of these they reward you with dividends, wash your hands before gaming and see what happens. I race alot, and having to reposition my thumb midturn blows, but the grip and range of motion allows me to hang on and make those adjustments my thumbs weren’t able to before. When clean and dry the grip is unmatched. Very little effort is needed to manipulate analog sticks and thumb strain is significantly reduced. I was having thumb soreness and cramping in my left hand and these grips cured it! They definitely help with games with a lot of L3 sprinting too. I uploaded a current photo showing the condition of the sticks now on crystal controller, originally black. 12/9/19: I’ve never used any sort of thumb grips so I didn’t know what to expect. I tend to do a lot of sprinting with L3 so I wanted a soft and convex grip with no sharp edges that would dig into my thumb. (I have a damaged nerve directly under contact patch) The rubber is supple and super tacky, making movements effortless. The added leverage of the 8.6mm rise also loosens up the sticks and gives them a smoother range of motion. I wouldn’t go any taller like the high-rise, and my next pair will be the Icon X which is 2.2mm shorter at 6.4mm rise. These are great for those with larger hands or longer thumbs. I always felt cramped in awkward angles with no grips, now my thumbs are in proper posture and never ache anymore. I also have very thin bony fingers, so convex grips don’t dig in and create any pressure points as opposed to the sharp edges with concave grips.

sony messed up when they redesigned the sticks on ps4 controllers. the rubber they use breaks down leaving you with a slippery surface or in some cases it flakes off down to the plastic leaving you with an unusable controller. i also think sony had it right with the convex style sticks on previous dual shock controllers. i preferred them so much that i ordered a custom controller for my xbox 360 that had convex joysticks. the problem is your thumbs do not just sit in the little dimple (concave), they travel across the surface as you move and aim. this is why i chose the cqcx's because they are the convex style allowing your thumb to freely travel as you move and aim. the cqcx's have honey comb indents for grip which is excellent. i really like the new cqc design which is shorter than the original freeks. the longer ones are okay for the right stick but not for the left stick. i have an original set of freeks for xbox 360, one improvement over the older design i like is there are the 3 ridges vs 6 on the older design that keep the freeks in place, making it easier to attach and remove them from your controller. this is good because it was difficult to remove them before and easier to damage your controller. the cqcx's height isn't intrusive but comfortable and i prefer the added height without the discomfort that comes with the added height on the regular freeks, especially for the left stick. there is an argument to be made for whether or not they may improve your aim, this isn't why i purchased these, but they do provide more elegant solution than the cheaper silicone condoms from other brands to a problem that shouldn't exist. thankfully kontrol freek has several cqc styles, the signature series more closely resembles the default ps4 grips if you prefer. i would like to see more colour options, while the signature series comes in green and the vortex in orange there grip types are significantly different than the cqcx. you could match these with the ultra x for the added precision on your right stick. it is my hope they will hold up better than the ps4 sticks do and i will update later one way or the other. i would recommend these if you ps4 controller has lost it's grip or you prefer the ps3 style joysticks. one size does not fit all so make sure you order the correct version for your console of choice.

First time purchasing control freeks, took some getting use to, but now I'm going to buy different ones to try them all. Great product and fits on my metal sticks.

Gotta say, these are very nice covers. It adds a good height, grip, and comfortabilty when playing games like Overwatch or Skyrim. It's great for people who have large hands and aren't comfortable with the stick feel of Ds4 thumb sticks. My personally preference is I use only one of these of the right thumb stick. It's been a month and has shown no sign of wear or damage after hundreds of hours of gaming.

The Dualshock 4 controller is one of the best ergonomic designs of any controller to date. Unfortunately, the analog sticks wear their rubber coating off with use. Thankfully, these caps solve that problem. Unlike cheaper low-quality covers that split and come off during gameplay, these snap on to the tops of the sticks. After several months, I haven't noticed any wearing of the coating or loosening of the caps from the sticks on my controller. One thing to consider, however, is that these increase the height of the thumbsticks noticeably. This takes a tad getting used to, but it hasn't been a bother.

I go out of my way to specifically purchase this texture and style. It's soft rounded design is much better for presicion aim and overall play. It allows the thimbs to 'roll' over the analog sticks smoothly and reduce aching compared to the weird style of modern controllers such as the Ps4 and XBox 1, where the sticks have an invert, or buttoned overlay. Never going back.

I purchase two sets of these thumb grips, one several months ago and one recently. The one I purchased earlier is great, I would rate it at 5 stars. The standard concave stick hurts my thumbs to play on for too long, and this convex one is the perfect height and very grippy. It fixed all the problems I have with the stock stick. The second pair that I ordered recently however is essentially unusable. The plastic "claw" portion that holds it onto the stick slips and slides, which can mess up your inputs and it even scratched my controller. There's also a couple small tabs of excess rubber along the molding seam that digs into your fingers on the new pair, which wasn't a problem on the old one. Both items were ordered from the manufacturer storefront, so I'm not sure if I got a defective or a knockoff product somehow, or if the quality has seriously slipped since I ordered the first pair. Even if it was simply a defective pair, I can't recommend buying this product when something with this glaring of issues slipped past quality control, especially when you're paying a premium for this as opposed to the cheap five dollar ones (that aren't great, but probably at least won't damage your controller).

Makes the controller's analog sticks less slippery and easier to use. Howeer, at just one month and a week the more used one began peeling starting at the top center. The peeling substance produces feelings of dirt under the thumb and xetracts from gameplay. The peeling seems limited to top layer so far, which appears to be different type of compound than the rubber it exposes. The rubber it exposes seems way more slippery, so i am guessing what is peeling is some sort of anti slip thin rubber formula. It is maybe one quarter or one third milimeter thick. Overall nice device but seems to have very shoddy rubbery finish. I used it maybe 20 hours a week so it started falling apart after 80 hours. I also have fingers that do not sweat a lot.

Mes KF préférés. La qualité est excellente, la maniabilité meilleure, ils ne sont pas trop haut, empêchent les pouces de glisser et rendent la visée plus facile en FPS. Maintenant je les utilise pour tous les jeux, sinon j’ai l’impression qu’il manque quelque chose.

Molto comodi, aumentano la precisione negli fps realmente, ovviamente non fanno miracoli ma si ha una sensibilità minore in modalità mirino pur mantenendo la sensibilità di gioco normale, ho provato anche i vortex ma non c'è paragone,troppo alti, questi sono decisamente meglio a mio parere anche se i vortex hanno sia un freek medio che uno alto, se sei indeciso sulla lunghezza compra i vortex ma se cerchi i freek medi questi sono ottimi anche a grip.

Pegada perfeita, compatível com DualSense (PS5), bem como com o DualShock (PS4). Melhora incrivelmente a experiência de jogo. Eu particularmente acho os analógicos da Sony com uma percepção tátil "barata", parece pirata dela mesmo. Não parece que pagamos o valor que pagamos naquele controle pela superfície dos materiais. Esse gripe resolve isso, além de aderir melhor aos dedos de quem transpira mais.
