Pratt Multipurpose Kraft Paper Sheet for Packaging Wrap, KPR30241200R, 1200' Length x 24" Width, Kraft

I found my order from years ago, same brand, same thickness, so I specifically ordered this item because I thought it would be the same (the exact roll I had back then is not being sold anymore). Both items were advertised as 30 lb. basis weight paper, but this one is certainly thinner than my old one. Supposedly average printing paper is 20 (most common) to 32, this roll feels thinner than that. I read other reviews and people mention different thicknesses in their reviews, I ordered based on 30 basis weight specifications and comparing it to other 20 and 30 products, I am not convinced this is 30. Based on this purchase, next time I will order 40 or 50 weight. For now, I needed it and I don't want the hassle of returning, so I'm keeping it.Anyway, I use it for wrapping boxes, time will tell how well it holds up compared to the thicker paper. It is easy to use, of course, thinner paper wraps easier. Plastic roll ends are inserts that keep sliding out so every time I pick up the roll, it is kinda awkward (I store it standing up in a closet, it is not always laying down ready to unroll).

If i was still selling stuff, i would not be using this to wrap outer item package box with and ship it that way (unless you tripple plus wrap it and use lots of tape). I definitely would of used it inside packaging boxes though to keep iems from moving around in it. It is thin but, not tissue thin like some mentioned to me but, more like a low quality thin sheet of writting paper with some strength to it IMO.Either-way, i bought this 1200 feet roll for its 'multipurpose' use and that use is for our household of mostly rescued cats who love amazon when they include packaging paper like this in their boxes (theirs is usually a little thicker but, not by much). They play with/in it for hours everyday when enough is available so I was glad to find this humongous roll at a decent price, its much cheaper than buying cat toys that only get played for a day or two thats for sure. If you have bored cats, highly recomend buying a roll for them!

I absolutely LOVE this Kraft Paper. I tear a large piece iff and let the kids paint and do crafts on it, it’s sturdy enough that they can put paint right on the paper and it won’t soak through. I run a crafting business and we also use it on our tables! Clean up is super easy as we just fold it up with the trash in it and throw the whole thing out! Great value for your money!

Do not order multiple rolls. We ordered one long roll. We will keep it this time.

I have tried many other brands and was left disappointed with the amount of paper for the price. This brand truly delivers the amount stated and the cost is excellent. I use this as void filler, It is a little thin for packing paper, but it will get the job done. I would recommend this to anyone looking to leave packing peanuts a thing of the past. Plus, the rolls takes up far less space if space is an issue for you like it is me. One roll is easily equivalent to (5 or 6) 13 cubic ft. bags (5 ft. garbage bag) of packing peanuts. This is my rough guestimate based on consumption and time between resupply when using each product exclusively. Plus, let's face it, customers hate peanuts. I would still save a bag or two for that one entitled customer that comes along from time to time to use when packing those items.

We've been using bulk paper like this as packing material. Just a few sheets wadded up helps fill up the box and keep things from moving around. I think if you know what you're buying, there's not much that can disappoint. The only thing that is a minor issue is that the end plugs are made of hard plastic so they crack easily during shipping. However I still have plugs from my last roll that I can use in place. It might help if they possibly used a softer plastic so it would bend rather than crack.

Believe it or not, I purchased this for my cats. After years of spending money on fancy cat toys and watching them only play with the packaging, I struck upon the idea of just buying the packing materials. I've found the cats are much more interested in the boxes (duh), the packing paper, and paper string - so I've invested in these supplies at a much lower cost than the manufactured toys. I create 'kitty caves' with this paper, but using about 6 feet of paper, crinkling it, and looping it (usually use two sheets). It's been practically non-stop kitty play (diving, pushing, chasing) ever since. Not sure how well it stands up for its original use, but the cats sure love it.

We have a "skin" business where we make heavy duty vinyl sticker (aka "skins") for the wholesale refurbished computer trade. We wrap 100 skins at a time using this paper. It also doubles as packing material when we ship. Good stuff.
