How long should this fuel filter last?

I replace my every year. I wouldn't run it any longer than 2 years. The filters are cheap insurance to keep a outborad running well.

Would this work on a 2019 tohatsu 6hp?

match the filters by the number. It will tell you if they are compatible. That's what I did and I am by far no kind of mechanic.
