So Far it's Great

TLDR = Great Chair, Would Buy AgainAfter looking around at larger chairs I came across this and decided to give it a shot. Figured for the price compared to other chairs of the same "quality" it was worth a try. This has been an EXCELLENT chair for the several weeks that I've had it so far. It came in an extremely large and heavy box though (70+ pounds) so be aware of that if you have to bring it in alone. It was pretty simple to put together, though I did use an electric drill instead of the allen wrench they provided just to do it quickly and make sure it was as tight as I could get it. I used LocTite on every single screw since I saw previous reviews mentioning that they have an issue of coming loose and needing to be tightened, this way I shouldn't ever have that problem. This thing is HEAVY, every single piece (except the wheels) is solid metal. The base, back, arm supports, seat, all of it is solid metal. That's a great thing. Other chairs try to use lots of plastic to lower their costs and it just causes the chair to breakdown overtime much easier or just from use / stress. You could probably use this thing to shield you from a grenade it's so big and heavy (please don't try that at home). The wheels that came with it are pretty large, much larger than the standard chair wheels that you typically get with this type of chair, so I decided to give them a chance. If they don't hold up, then I will just get some of the Roller Blade style replacement wheels since I've heard good things about those but so far, the wheels it came with have been great. The tensioner on it to lean the chair back is VERY stiff. If you don't loosen it enough, then when you lean it back it will feel kind of like it's constantly trying to sit you back straight up. I literally had to twist the tensioner knob 100 times to fully loosen it and it's been perfect since then.I'll update this review if there are any issues that might negatively effect my perception of this chair but so far it's exceeded all of my expectations, especially for the price comparatively to other "Big & Tall" chairs. I've tried about 4 others so far that all cost me between $400 - $600 and NONE of them lasted very long, about 1 to 2.5 years max. I've had this for almost 2 months now and it's been the best chair I've ever owned. My recommendation would be to give this chair a shot, but spend the extra $40 to get the extended protection plan / warranty just to cover your purchase in the event that it might not hold up as well for you. Considering how much you'll save on this chair compared to others, even getting that extended protection plan still will typically cost you less than those other chairs that are more than likely not going to be as good of quality as this chair is.

Nice chair, very big / heavy.

I ordered this chair 2 weeks ago and last week when it was delivered, I found a portable spa at my front gate and not a chair. I called Amazon and the soonest they could deliver a replacement was another week away. Failed deliveries are becoming a regular issue with them. So today they delivered the chair and it took me about 15 - 20 minutes to assemble the chair myself. It is a lot bigger than my last Big/Tall chair, I had to finagle it into the doorway to my home office because it is so wide. It seems to be well built and sturdy, I did not have any trouble putting it together like others have had.The only real complaint that I have is that the seat tilts forward and makes me feel like I will slide out of the chair. I adjusted the tilt control the best I could, and it still leans forward. Other than that it is fairly comfortable to me, I am 6'6" and 420 lbs.So now I will see how the chair holds up and if I can do anything for the forward leaning.I will update this review after I have had the chair a while.

Very sturdy. Very high/tall.

The box actually arrived with the top open. I’m honestly not sure that it was ever taped in the first place. But I was happy to see that there was no damage to any major components of the chair, though one of the caps that goes on the arm to hide a screw was broken (seems like this could have happened even if the box were sealed). This chair is a beast! The base is all metal and the arms are metal (with padding of course). Many budget chairs (and some expensive ones) are mostly plastic. The tilt spring feels pretty stiff but I haven’t played with the adjustment yet. However, it seems like it will support a heavier person without making them feel like they’re falling backward. The seat is both wider and deeper than a standard chair. Be aware that the seat sits very high! I’m 6’1” and at the lowest position my feet are just flat on the floor with my knees at 90 degrees. If I were to raise this any higher, my feet would not touch the ground. Part of this seems to be due to the depth of the seat. If you’re on the shorter side, you might find that you can’t sit all the way back in the chair and have your feet touch the floor. Overall, this chair is very sturdy and a great value.

Almost does what it advertises... It does support a big individual.

Well, after using this chair for a few weeks here's our review. Delivery was excellent, the Amazon delivery man brought it up onto the porch and sat it right next to the front door. Assembly is not hard, but it helps to have a second person hold down the seat while attaching the back. The padding of the seat and the back has to be pushed together so you can align the holes in the frame to insert the bolts. The hex wrench included with the chair for assembly is adequate for the job, and you need to keep it around so you can tighten the bolts later if needed, (and you probably will need to). The chair is very heavy, and solidly built. As others have stated, we too feel as if we are tilting slightly forward, and consequently sliding out of the chair after awhile. It is easy to adjust the height of the seat, and after loosening the tension on the tilt feature as far as it will go, it does tilt back, but we can not sit in it tilted back because the tension is still too tight, and the chair flops forward unless you physically hold it in place. One note here... in order for the chair to tilt back you must pull the lever, that adjusts the seat height, all the way out as far as it will go. This releases the tilt. If you push the lever in it locks the chair in the upright position. This is a feature, not a bug. The chair's padding seems adequate. We can't speak for the other colors, but the brown chair we ordered is absolutely beautiful. The picture in the advertisement does not do it justice. It looks rich and expensive. So, bottom line... after paying over $400 for a similar chair that only lasted one year, this chair is a real bargain, even with the slight inconveniences mentioned. It does hold a large person so they can use their computer day in and day out. If you are considering this chair it is the best buy you will find. Buy it.
