This tape was shown to be used for wrapping pipes and engine tubes to make them stand out. I used pinstriping material and gold paint before to decorate my Harley and it faded quick. This stuff is sticking and not fading in the heat or sunlight...so far. I'm using it to make some old, dull features on my Harley pop out visually. It cuts easily. I created feathers with an exacto knife and overlapped them to LOOK like feathers (my bike has an eagle motif). Aluminum tape is effective, too (got tired of dealing with rust spots on the shell). (The beak is made of LockTight glue formed and carved into shape, then stuck on.) I had a LOT of tape left over.

Used this on my 1998 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4 air box assembly to prevent heat from exhaust pipe to heat up and deform or melt or make my air box brittle. Seems to hold up pretty well and reflective heat like it should. Easy to cut to size and length and well worth the money.

Have had it in my engine bay on the intake and coolant hoses all winter. Is holding up nicely but some areas are loosing adhesive properties, mainly the areas that are at the end of the taping. I recommend rolling the tape around the beginning and end of wherever you tape to make it last if your wrapping hoses and intakes. Quality of the foil is good
