The Declaration of Independence (A True Book: American History)

I began homeschooling the kids this year. I bought this to read to them because I felt we needed more educational reading on our bookshelf. The kids loved it, and we were also able to use it to answer questions on assignments.

History in a nutshell - great for 1 - 3 grades and beyond

Written so that children can read for themselves and understand. I bought this for my 9 yr old grandchild. My son-in-law thought that this was a great choice for the kids to read and learn.

Content is very good, but the quality of the book itself is not. The cover is extremely thin as are the pages - the pages feel only slightly better than magazine pages. I have a bunch of this collection in my kids' book list, but not sure I'm actually going to buy more as the quality is really lacking. Was very surprised to have received Scholastic books of this quality. Definitely won't pay full price for anything in this collection. Again, the content is very good, much better than the actaul book.

This is a great resource for my students as they learn about America and its history. This is fun and easy to read.
