Still going strong
It is so nice to know how much fuel is in the tank and to not hear the whining of a failing pump. I did order the wrong one, has the extra hole, but would rather cap a hole than have to try to make one. I did run into an issue when trying to remove the bed. The first bolt stripped so I just cut a hole in the bed. It took 10 times longer to fix the hole I cut in the bed than replacing the pump.

Great replacement.
Perfect fit, no lights on, no codes on dash from not matching . Works well.

Wire color code
All was great but the wiring instructions were WRONG for my application just a little head scratch and figured it out

It does fit. Read this first. My Instructions. UPDATE: LASTED 5 Years
OK so first of all when I added my truck to the Amazon garage, this product showed that it did not fit my truck but I checked on Autozone and the 2002 Silverado LS 4.8 and 5.3 engine share the same pump. So I figured they should share this one as well since Amazon says that it fits a 4.8L.My truck is**2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3 T ("T" is the 8th letter in the VIN #)**Extended cab (2 full door, 2 half door)**So before you walk away from this great deal to a more expensive one, just do your research and it might fit your truck even though Amazon says it doesn't.**Another thing is that although the description says 2 connectors on top, when you receive the item, yes it only has one connector. the other connector is the pressure sensor (black) that you pull out of your old unit and install it in the new one (see in pictures).****I find it easier to lift the bed of the truck rather than dropping the gas tank. In order to do this follow the steps.**1.) Remove driver side back light (2 Phillips screws) and disconnect light bulb cables. from light housing (so they don't rip off when lifting bed)**2.) Remove 3 black screws from where you fill up on gas.**3.) Remove 4 bold on driver's side underneath bed. it helps if you have a long extension (2 towards the front of bed and 2 towards back.**4.) Do the same as step 3 for passenger's side but do not remove bolts entirely just loosen them so there is only about 5 - 7 full turns. (doing this will help hold bed in place with out falling off.**5.) Lift bed from driver's side and prop up with bed with something between the bed and chassis.**Doing the steps above will give you easy access to fuel pump.**Once you can reach the pump disconnect connector and hoses, turn large outer ring counter clock wise to loosen pump from tank. Then remove old pump, move hose clips (greyish color) (they go around pump fittings and the hoses goes over that shown in picture). Remove pressure sensor from old pump to new pump. (shown in pictures). Clean outer rim of tank and then reinstall new fuel pump.**I also found it easier to hang the floater in the edge of the tank before installing the entire Fuel Pump assembly and once the aseembly is in, I connect the floater to the fuel pump assembly. I feel that doing it this way prevent damage to the fuel meter when trying to install it. Just be careful not to drop floater into tank.**BEFORE YOU DROP THE BED BE SURE TO TEST THE PUMP FIRST. Just in case the pump is faulty.**This took me about 2 hours.**Will update more later on performance of pump. It is quieter so far.UPDATEIt's been 2 months so far so good! My fuel gauge works now!UPDATE:This lasted me almost 5 years. I'm sure it would have lasted longer had I not ran low on gas which dried and burned out the motor. Buying this Again**Hope this helps.

Pump works fine and is quite but the fuel gauge doesn't work and I will be diagnosing the problem soon. Update the fuel pump only lasted five months, will not recommend buying this product
