The Flat Stanley Collection Box Set: Flat Stanley, Invisible Stanley, Stanley in Space, and Stanley, Flat Again!

I first learned about Flat Stanley over 20 years ago when I received a phone call from my friend asking me if I could help her son with a school project. Each student in his class had to mail Flat Stanley to relatives or friends all over the country and have him spend time with them and then be sent back with a report of their time there and if possible a gift for each student in the class that was specific to where he lived. It was a cute project that I loved helping him with. I meet with Flat Stanley again a few years ago when my niece had to read a chapter book for school and this was the one she choose. She was in first grade and struggled with reading and it was a chore to get her through the first book but she got it done and enjoyed the book.I again have young people in my life who need a project and reading material for school and Flat Stanley came to mind almost immediately. I had originally thought to only buy the first book in the series but after looking over all the options for purchase, this four book collection was a great deal. It comes in a nice case and each book is full of illustrations to help keep younger readers engaged. This is not a book series for beginner readers but for those who are strong readers in the last couple months of 1st grade or readers in 2nd/3rd grades these book are great not just to read but if you look on-line you can also have your kids get involved and do a project - making them a great option for home schooled kids as well as every elementary school system.

Wanted a nice book series for my first grade nephew. The Stanley series is colorful and a good read for his level. Priced well and they can be handed down to his sister in a couple of years. Arrived quickly as stated. Great product and investment.

This is collection of Flay Stanley books. All are good. My great-grandson was doing a book report on this book for schook project. Teacher had children send to someone in another state, and let them forward to someone, ending back up where Stanley started from. This was a fun project for kids and me... So now I am reading the whole collection. Fun with your young ones, and you are helping them. Never to old to grow young with your young ones. Great book !!!

Flat Stanley was definitely a hit with grandsons ages 6-9.

My nephew isn't super enthusiastic about reading, but he enjoys these for the adventures and length. They are the perfect length for 1st-2nd grade.

My 8yo grandson really enjoys this series. I regularly ask him what Flat Stanley is up to. He delights in recounting his adventures. It encourages him to be a good reader and gives us something to talk about.

Good book. My 2nd grade boys love reading it and it’s helping take their reading to the next level. Love it .

My daughter asked for Stanley, Flat Again as Christmas gift in this year's letter sent to Santa. Her wish came true, of course:-) Even better, she got the full series! Her elaborately designed trap in her bedroom didn't work to catch Santa live though:-P She started to read the series immediately after she got up in the morning. She was so exited to learn the whole story she dreamed for a while and couldn't help to tell it to her little brothers. Thank you Santa again for this great gift.

Even if the illustrations in these books are black and white, you can't miss the chance of travel around with stanley.Great for teaching projects about world's countries and more.
