Big hit
This was a big hit with my toddler. I use it for supervised play only because there is a warning about choking hazards. I guess it must be the coins? Not entirely sure. Regardless he loves it and it is a good compromise between flashy and low tech toys. There is a calculator component for introduction to adding and money values, but it also inspires a lot of imaginative play.
