depends on batch size; I dissolve in room temp water 3 parts water to 1 parts sorbate (1/4 cup sorbate / 3/4 cup water) and store in a cabinet where it's cool and in an air tight dark glass jar. I use a bit over 1/4 teaspoon and haven't had any issues as of yet and save money over the Loran Mold Inhibitor which is pre-mixed.

Q: I would like to use to make cookies. Once you make it into liquid how much do you use?

Did you use this product in your cookies? I read one of the answers, instructing you to add 1 cup into your recipe. My question to that person is what size their total recipe is? One cup seems like a lot to add to a standard cookie recipe.

Q: Is there supposed to be a, best if used by date,on the bag? Whenever I bought potassium sorbate before, it always had a expiration date on it.
