The second cheapest, and the most fun, of all the Micro Four Third lenses
I read a great many reviews, here on Amazon and elsewhere, before ordering this lens, and the most common complaints about seem to be that (1) it's made of plastic, and not terribly rugged (absolutely true), and (2) it's not a true fisheye but a wide angle with a fair amount of barrel distortion (also true) and it's not terribly sharp (also guilty as charged.). On the other hand, the two most common positive comments made about the lens are that (1) it's really cheap and (2) it's a tremendous amount of fun to play with. And it's because of those two factors that the various complaints about this lens are really besides the point. This is just a terribly fun lens to play with. The barrel distortion is obvious, but nowhere near as extreme as that in a true fisheye, but it's for that reason that this is a much more versatile lens than is a true fisheye. A true fisheye, with 180 degree view and circular vignetting, is something best used with restraint; the effect is disorienting, and comes across as an extreme sort of special effect. This is a lens you can pretty much leave on and use for all sorts of scenes and subjects. It makes a great "street" lens; just leave it hanging around your neck and click off shots without aiming. The 140 degree field pretty much guarantees you'll get what ever is in front of you. Indoors, the super wide angle means you can stand in a corner and capture the entire room, including the walls on either side, and the barrel distortion gives image a sort of dynamic look. While the f/8 aperture is a bit slow for available light shooting, many of the newest MFT cameras can be cranked up to 1600 and even 3200 and still produce decent images, and the extremely short focal length means you can get decent images down to 1/15th second or even longer, if you brace the camera against something. I shoot Lumix MFT cameras, but I'm told with the built-in stabilization of the Olympic cameras, you can go another 2-3 stops slower. Other have covered the best way to use this lens, which is to say set it at the hyperfocal distance (the dot between infinity and 0.2m) and pretty much everything from arm's length to infinity will be in sharp focus. So yes, it's not the most solidly built lens out there, it's a bit soft, and it doesn't deliver that classic round vignetted image, but it's cheap, fun, and a great lens to leave on your camera and find a new perspective on the world.

Cheap and Fun. Image quality is fine considering what this is.
What is not to love? Cheap, tiny, travels well, and takes decent shots considering the price.Yes stuck at f/8 so you need good light and the image quality is OK, but for a cheap, fun, small, budget lens that seconds as a body cap, this is great. I have a nicer f/3.5 fisheye that takes much better shots, but it is large, protruding lens element and all metal construction so rather heavy. But when I am on vacation with the family this is the one I take for travel. It is so light and small it fits in your front pocket and if you didn't know any better, when blindly reaching for it in your bag you may think you are grabbing a lens cap rather than the lens.Throw it on the camera for quick fun shots anytime and in bright daylight it takes great shots considering the price. When you are done you literally can take it off and slide it into your jeans pocket. The focusing lever takes a little getting used to and basically has a couple detent presets for close up, medium distance, and infinity. They work for most shots but if you really want to you can move the lever into in-between positions to fine tune your focus. But for most fisheye photos, close is good enough. I found the middle position (medium distance) is probably the most used.I would recommend this especially if you have never played around with a fisheye lens and are not sure if you will like it. For the less than $90 I paid for this, is is a cheap test-drive of fisheye photography. And for those of us already with a "real" fisheye lens, this one is still very handy to have as well.

What an incredible little lens - practically free when you consider all that it does (read on)
I love my Pen F and it has become my "travel" camera - it was all I had with me on a magazine assignment in Italy and it performed flawlessly. My widest lens - the superb 17mm = to a 35mm on full frame - was my go to optic for most images. (Cartier-Bresson shot his finest images with a 35 on his Leicas). However, occasionally I wanted a wider composition and have been considering adding a 12-40mm but the cost is a touch rich right now since travel is very limited (although as soon as the virus subsides, I'm off to a week in Germany!). I saw this on Amazon and liked the price - I consider it almost free because it doubles as a lens cap / body cap and doesn't need a lens hood - add the price of all of those needed accessories and you are almost covered.I used it on two assignments recently - one for the interior of a Ferrari 250 GT 2+2 - and the sweep of the dashboard from the back seat was an image I have never been able to get with my regular full-frame DSLR gear. Winner!Inexpensive, sharp enough if you're careful with your shutter speed (it's only an F:8) and can live on the camera since it has a lens covering built in.I think every Olympus micro 4/3 shooter should pop for this and experiment with the magical world of panorama and fisheye photos.Recommended with 5 stars.

This will apparently be discontinued??
Good and fun lens. Not the best image quality but expected for what it is. Just a fun walk around lens.

One of a kind, if you need light and wide, this is it!
Hard to compare this lens to any others, as I've never encountered a lens quite like this and don't think I ever will again. The sheer light weight of it is pretty incredible, if you need the absolute lightest lens ever then this is definitely it, comes in at a whopping 30 or so grams. Why is light weight so important? Well it is to me because I'm using this with a Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera which is going on a drone. This lens saves me a wack of weight compared to any other lens and that means longer flight times and better performance. As a lens for every day shooting it's a little less spectacular, but I have a super16 sensor so the crop factor is brutal (2.0) and so this lens is also the widest I could find without breaking the bank.In terms of image quality, it's about what you expect, or better. Centre of the image is sharp as can be, really nice, the depth of focus is astonishing, there's some blurriness on the edges, magenta fringing on bright sources and some fisheye effect (warping) but nothing too major and I was fairly easily able to remove all these issues in post. The only thing I wasn't super crazy about with this lens is the focus/lens cap "tab", first of all, it's on the "bottom" of the lens and on my setup its very tricky and annoying to reach it as my finger keeps hitting the tripod mounting plate. It's also fairly loose, I'll have to tape it down if I'm doing any big movements.Overall though, you can't beat it for the money and it will forever live on my camera as the body cap/ultra wide lens. All the images I uploaded are post-processing, so fisheye and fringing was removed, as well as a slight zoom in.

Fun lens Fun time
This lens is far from being perfect, but what it is is a very small fish eye that's loads of fun, the most important thing is as it has no communication with the camera you need to set the camera to shot without a lens, otherwise it's very burry. Once you have that sorted it's a great lens, photographically it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
