As an Oblate, I needed to replace my old scapular after almost 5 years of constant wear. Our new puppy decided to get his paw stuck in it while playing and in the process of trying to get him unstuck, one of the cords snapped on the old one.The only downside to this is that it is much larger than the old one, both in length and in the size of the scapular tabs. But since nobody really sees it but me and the missus, I am not overly concerned.

i only take it off to shower

The string is really long. It makes it a little hard to wear. But it is sturdy and is holding together well
