Dog Wound Care 3-Way Ointment, Relieves Pain & Prevents Infection For Dog Cuts, Scrapes, Bites and Injuries, 2 Ounce

So far, I cannot give a negative or a positive review on this cause. I just started my boy on it but from the reviews that I have read, it seems like it’s very good. I have tried numerous of things and nothing really helped with his hotspots so I’m giving this a shot. I will update and let you know to see if it actually worked on my boy. It doesn’t necessarily mean that if it doesn’t work on my boy, it wouldn’t work for you, but I am praying that it does work on him. He has a really big hotspot behind his tail. He won’t stop chewing it. I purchased a spray and I also purchased this. I read that you need to put a collar when you put this on to keep them away from licking it so I also bought him a collar and let’s see how this goes. It has a distinct smell to it but it’s OK as long as it worksUPDATE….. this ointment worked wonders. I saw the difference within four days after two weeks. I can honestly say that he is completely healed and it was very bad and very raw. The itching still continues, but without any sores on his body I purchased a spray now for the itching. This is a never-ending story. I will say be very careful when you put this ointment on your pet. Make sure to rub it in and cover up your furniture because it is very oily and it does stain wherever they lay.

My dog is a boxer mix, and he has terrible skin allergies. Sometimes he scratches himself raw, and he also chews his paws. He's currently on immune therapy and we've tried different remedies with little success. Probiotics, Anti-fungal cream, steroids orally from the vet, fish oil, and ketoconazole shampoo. Frequent baths help the most. But this Sulphodene ointment provides him relief when the itching gets bad. It allows him, and us to sleep. His bed is right next to ours. I like that it's thick and stays on. The scent is pleasant to me. Sort of like menthol. I don't know what the dog thinks of the smell, but he doesn't seem to mind. I've bought several tubes. It's easy to store, and easy to dispense, except for the very last of it. I roll up the tube as I go. It's a very good value. Not very expensive, and worth the money.

I actually work in the veterinary field. I was looking for a cheaper and effective product for my dog. She’s a coonhound and gets moist areas under her lips. I clean the area well and apply a thin layer of this to the affected areas. It works very well. It does have a slight smell to it. I must like an antiseptic or Band-Aid. She does not seem bothered when I apply it. The consistency is that of like A & D ointment.

This is an amazing product!! My dog has seasonal allergies and breaks out in hot spots on her stomach and she tends to try and lick them a lot but when I put this ointment on she immediately stopped. I’ve been applying it twice a day and saw amazing results within the first couple of days. The redness and bumps have gone away a ton but not enough to fully heal. I’d recommend this product to help keep hot spots or other skin irritations under control until you can get into a vet. Overall an amazing product and has made my dog feel a lot better!

Healed my emanciated rescues sever happy tail! She had 1/4 of tail bone exposed when I picked her up along with open wounds across her body. After trying to wrap her tail multiple times with no success and the vet giving us a 20% success rate of it healing itself and not needing amputation, I purchased this ointment and the spray bandage from this company and within a week she was 80% healed! These two products saved me $500 and my dog from loosing her tail. I have sense purchased their ear cleaning solution. I would recommend any product from this company.

Our dog was bit basically 2 days after we moved to a new area, frustrating but I ordered this stuff to try to help cause a phone call said if he wasn't freaking about his wound he was fine. And this was quite a hole in his chest the size of a silver dollar. It is the size of a dime now. No vet visit needed. And we were stressed it did not l0ok good. Would recommend to anyone w a dog injury who might need a quick fix or might not have the money to pay today's type of vet bills

This product has tea tree oil! Which is toxic to dogs. Please read about it and be very observant to make sure your dog doesn't lick it it you do end up using it. I used it on my dog a few times since there are so many good reviews here, but I noticed she became lethargic and stopped applying it on her. I'd rather spend money on the vet than risk her health.

I don't know where this stuff has been all my life! I'm 55 and had dogs since I was 6. This is better than any antibiotic ointment ever. It heals faster than anything I've ever used. It has pain relievers as well. And I think it smells very good, not sure if it's the tea tree, thyme or clove but I love it! A little goes a longgggg way. I've used it on wounds, cracked elbows and raw spots on noses. I'm not sure why it says not for human use, I'm guessing it's an FDA thing. I've used it on myself without any problems and will continue to do so. Anyway buy this stuff!!!
