Good Stuff

This is a 20 pound catfish, caught on this rod and reel. The only adjustment I had to make was to tighten the drag a little but this was used out of the box with no line change or any other adjustment to the rod or reel. It casts smooth and reels in effortlessly. The only small problem is the bell release catches on the drag setting at times but it does not affect the performance Great little rod and reel combo.

First off, keep in mind what you spent on this combo and set your expectations accordingly. Now, the FIRST thing you HAVE to do is replace the line that's currently on the reel. It is spooled on improperly and will twist up during use causing some "bird nests" if you don't. Go with whatever type of line you feel comfortable with. I put on KastKing 10 lb line, pink in color. It looks really good and the wife LOVES the complete color coordination of the rod, reel and line. We fish on Lake Norman, NC for bass, catfish and whatever else might be biting. The combo casts well, the rod is durable and the reel can be set for left or right handed reeling. The wife's a lefty, so that's convenient and was easy to do. We've been using the combo almost weekly, trolling on Lake Norman and it's held up well. The largest fish the wife's caught was an 8 pound catfish. The combo performed admirably. The drag is smooth and easy to set. Overall, highly recommended!!!

It’s broke after 4 uses. I caught a baby shark and the reel got wet (snatched in the water) and now it want lock. So the line want keep in place. It keep loosing. I have to hold it. For real fishier so don’t recommend it. But you can find better… it’s pretty much for cute. And pink is my favorite color. I added pink braided 40lbs line. I definitely was snatching fish left n right but nothing bigger than 8-10lbs. It did good on that.

Amazing fishing rod!!! Caught a largemouth bass with this rod and it handled it no problem. I know it’s a dink but I'm pretty sure the rod can handle more! But the fishing line kept tangling around my reel which sucks but fixed it.

I have had this for about a year now and it is AWESOME. The color is vibrant, size is great for adults, but I can still let my older child (8) use it with no issues. Very durable this far, as I have bought more expensive ones that have lasted and done less than this has. Easy to put together and take apart.

It’s a nice rod but it’s completely different colours than what shows the reel is purple and the rod is a darker pink than the baby pink they are selling

It's lightweight and easy to carry around. I was only able to catch small-medium fishs but it does the job well for a reasonable price.

I have used the rod twice now and caught bass both times, the rod fits together easily, the reel runs very smooth and casting is a breeze, highly recommend
