El Wire 5 Pack, 9ft Neon Light with Battery Pack (Red, Blue, Pink, Green, White) for Halloween Decorations DIY Costume

I used some on my motorcycle and I made some art work with some.one million uses for these!!!

The lights themselves are great with the twinkling effect as well. Unfortunately, once you open the battery compartment, it doesn’t stay closed unless you tape it.

Thought it was a little larger but it looks like it will work for me

These EL lights worked perfectly for my project. I was able to cut them to the length I needed with no issues. There is a slight buzzing noise as others have noted, but it's not noticable once inside the bag I sewed.

The media could not be loaded.  First ... IF you put your ear directly to it or of it is completely silent, only then can you really hear the ringing they are talking about, so no biggie, second I love these and they are awesome. However, 3 of 7 (the purple is in my daughter's room) are spotted and will only light up some of it . Not sure if there is a fix, but I paid for 7, and now have 4 they fully light up at once. So bummer.

The media could not be loaded.  I used this wire to make a DIY neon sign of my friend’s new last name as a wedding gift and it was perfect! While the wire obviously works best in the dark, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the wire still provided great illumination with my living room lights on (see photos).Honestly my only real complaint is that it was difficult to get the wire to adhere to the heat transfer vinyl- at first I tried using a hot glue gun but found that the glue was more transparent than clear once it cooled plus it would “pop-off” in areas where there was tension. Ultimately I ended up using clear gorilla glue which dried perfectly clear and was very strong but the downside was that it required pressure while curing which took hours. Also in my opinion the wire produces a faint buzzing/humming noise when turned on but other people told me they couldn’t hear it so maybe I just have sensitive hearing (FYI- I ordered some longer el wire from a different seller since the green wasn’t long enough for my project and it made the same noise).Regardless of my difficulties with the adhesion, this wire was exactly what I needed and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to do something similar :)

They work great, easy to use, and belt clips work ok. Though, the break easily if you flex the start of the cord connected to the battery pack and they have a somewhat noticeable ringing/buzzing if you listen well or are in a quiet place. Also, if you keep all of the battery packs together im one place and want to know which ones are which, i would recomment some kind of label, they have a led to show on or off, but nothing withing a foot of the pack that shows the coloe of the cor connected to the pack. Finally, there is a end piece on the tube, what will fall off pretty easily, they dont shine a bright stream of light or anything if it falls off, but are noticably brighter at the tip if you are withing like 2, maybe 3 meters (around 6.2' to 9.6'). Over all though, they can be seen from a long ways away, are long, and best of all cheap. They are not adhesive at all though (just a warning to some)
