CIPA 11083 COMP II Black 4" x 11" Marine Mirror

I ordered a different brand that had a bracket and two thumb screws to attach to the windshield but the bracket was too big and not the correct angle to fit my windshield. I have a Starweld by Starcraft and the window trim is 1/2 inch. This mirror came with two additional and thicker rubber inserts both of which I used and the bracket fits perfectly on my windshield. I also like that the mirror is above the windshield for better forward visibility and that it folds down when trailering the boat. The field of vision is good for me and the unit seems to be very sturdy without a lot of vibration. The bracket is a rubber like material which dampens vibration and does not scratch the window trim. The mirror adjusts up and down as well as side to side.

I bought this for my pontoon and mounted it to the bimini top rail beside the helm. Rail is 1" square and worked great. I had just returned the mucho expensive pro mirror and have to say, this one is every bit as good as the other one. The other was nice but wouldn't mount on my boat where I wanted it to. Putting on bimini rail was reported by someone as not steady enough but I haven't found that to be the case and I can raise it so there is no blind spot. Also no issues when putting on covers. Easy to remove when lowering Bimini if I need to. I recommend it.

Great mirror. Easy to install in my boat. Good size and good quality. You get what you expect.

Searched quite a while for a rear view mirror to install on the 1 " diameter rail that circles the windshield on our Center Console Boat. Nearly all I found were for flat windshield frames. After reading mixed reviews, decided to give this a try. At first I thought I was out of luck. The mirror has two sets of rubber shims. One set for flat frames and one for round rails. The set for rails was too large and would not tighten. The set for for flat frames would not work either. I then tried using one shim for rails and one for flat frame. WORKED PERFECTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was able to tighten the clamp securely!!! Easily adjusts to perfect angle either for standing or sitting while driving. NO MORE TURNING AROUND TO CHECK MY SIX!!!! Also easily folds down when putting the cover on the boat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MIRROR IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL ON 1 INCH CHROME RAIL ON CENTER CONSOLE BOAT.

This mirror works great to see skiers, wakeboarders, tubers etc…..the clamp is the real deal. With two rubbers if needed. I only needed one. The clamp itself is rubber on the inside and it comes with two additional rubbers for custom needs.

I've been searching desperately for a replacement ski mirror solution on my 2008 SeaDoo Utopia SE 205. It broke at the end of last season and all of the SeaDoo parts warehouses no longer carry the ski mirror. It was by chance that I found a forum post that mentioned that the bracket style on my SeaDoo Utopia is a CIPA bracket and that you could just unscrew the mirror from this bracket and it fits perfectly in the existing wake tower bracket that still remains on my boat. I can't speak to the longevity of the mirror, except to say that I believe this is the exact same mirror that came with the boat, just under the SeaDoo name and it lasted 15 years.

The mirror works OK but as other reviews have noted there is a lot of vibration while the boat is moving. The movement (and vibration) comes from the pivot arm to mirror connection. The windshield clamp seems secure enough on my boat. I don't know if that can be fixed because CIPA customer service never answered my email.
