Tasty risotto rice
Vacuum packed so arrives and stays fresh. Makes delicious risotto and other rice dishes, stove top or in rice cooker. Does not clump. Creates the creamy risotto “sauce”.

BEST BRAND
Love this brand of rice. I usually buy the carnaroli but they don't have it in the small 1 lb boxes lately. The arborio rice is excellent as well. I just feel that the carnaroli is a bit more creamy. I love the 1 lb boxes. I just use one box per dinner. I am gluten free, and have never had an issue with this brand. Risotto is a little time consuming and requires constant attention when preparing, but definitely worth it. There are so many different variations. Once you master the rice portion, you can really add anything and make it your own. I make several versions. Each has their own flavor profile. Sometimes I use a basic recipe and add whatever I have on hand. Love Love Love Risotto, and Love this brand!

An excellent product, at a good price, delivered to your door
I have been making risotto for decades. Yes, I am a dinosaur. It is a dish I make for my wife, for family gatherings, and also for dinner parties. I've tried a wide range of Italian brands of rice for risotto over the years. From the standpoint of flavor, value and convenience, this rice hits the spot. I ordered it a few weeks ago. It arrived ahead of schedule. I made my first pot of risotto (with saffron, shrimp, lobster and fresh peas) this past weekend. It turned out very well, and you can't really make a good risotto without good rice. In the past I have often bought 1 kg bricks, and I do find that size a wee bit more convenient for the way I use the product, but this is a very very minor issue compared to the convenience of being able to order online and having the product delivered to your door. If this item continues to be available, I will continue to buy it. I certainly recommend it. Six pounds may seem like a lot, but you will find uses for leftover risotto (e.g., arancini) and the rice (e.g., rice pudding) that will make you glad you bought it.

For the most part, risotto rice is risotto rice, no? This stuff is good, the price was right, and there were no creepy bugs in the packages.
