18ga cord installs easily, had to modify the shell for 16ga cords
The insulation on the standard16ga extension cords were too thick to allow the two halves of the to close all the way. I had to use my dremel with a small grinding bit to shave down the clamping protrusions on the one half of the connector shell. My 18ga cord worked ok without modifying the shell.

This not a grounding receptacle, ( two prong only).
Be very careful when ordering this product as it isn't a grounding unit ( it's only 2 prong)
