It begins with a pantry section. It describes the new ingredients from the time I was in home ec in jr high school. Just dated myself. I considered myself a competent at baking, then I started having trouble. I sit here and read this book instead of watching tv. I have learned SO much. I now live in a small town instead of a big city, plus I’m trying to get rid of processed foods. I think they were killing me. This book is teaching me how to bake the things I need and some of what I want. Fresh. I bake my first thing today. Instructions are so clear. Lots of pictures. I wish there were similar books for fun side dishes. Such a helpful and fun book!

Love how the book is spiraled making it easy to flip between pages and also it makes it easier to stay on the recipe you're baking. Has a variety of recipes for any stage of baking you may be in.

I own way too many cookbooks but this one is irreplaceable. Most recipies have photos and ingredients are generally easy to find. A great variety of types of breads and all are relevant for a typical home cook.

The media could not be loaded. I love books that come in a binder. I just wish it was a binder on the spine as well and not a partial binder. I love how I have side notes five hints where it tells you what you could do differently to make it a different texture these recipes can get you gone for over a year if you do one a day. The pages are sticking a bit, and these pages are not folding easily as I would like even with the spiral. This cookbook has a lot of good recipes in it, especially for the fall. It even helps you making the piecrust making dough even teaches you how to test your dough how to store it I love a good cookbook put together with good recipes stuff that I can do stuff that I can use. Buy you one and buy one for Christmas present for somebody you know.

This is a great book for beginners and seasoned bakers. Contains detailed info about baking that other books omit.
