Must get it!
Waited a few weeks to try it out before leaving a review. This vacuum has saved me HOURS of cleaning up our pool from leaves, bugs, algae and everything else that falls to the bottom of our pool. I just plug it in, throw it in, and it does the job. I clean it after each use and you can visibly see how much it picks up, from the smallest grain to large leaves. We were debating about getting it but one of our neighbors suggested this brand and vacuum and we are so glad we got it. Big investment and I hope it lasts multiple seasons.

Works great with an Intex Easy-Set Pool!
We have an above ground, Intex Easy-Set pool. I've struggled with keeping it clean the entire time we've had it. I first tried a manual vacuum that connected to the filter intake, but the filter struggled with it (like trying to suck water through a REALLY long straw) and it was a hassle to set up and use. Then I tried a self powered vacuum that attached to a pole...this worked better but was a lot of work and time consuming because you constantly had to stop and clean out the small debris filter. Then I tried one of those automatic filters than you attach to the water inlet...this worked OK but didn't filter small particles, did not have any kind of scrubbing action and was also a bit of a hassle to set up (having to shut the filter off, attach the huge hose, restart the filter, etc.) Which brings me to the Dolphin. Of all the cleaners I've tried, this is by far the best in terms of ease of use and cleaning ability. You plug it in, chuck it in the pool and run a cycle (or two). It gets the pool as clean as any of the methods I've tried but with almost none of the work or drawbacks. Couple things of note... Our Intex pool has sloped edges, I was worried about this causing the Dolphin to tip over or have problems. This hasn't happened...the Dolphin is totally stable and a happy discovery was that even though this model is not designed to do so...the sloped sides allow the Dolphin to climb the walls pretty well. One downside is that because of the shape of the corners of the pool and the size of the Dolphin, it can't really reach all the way into the corners...I had to use a brush to push the debis out of the corners for the Dolphin to grab. I've seen a couple complaints about the Dolphin doing "wheelies" all the time and not cleaning because of this. Ours does do wheelies every now and then...but I'm pretty sure this is by design. From watching it, it seems to do wheelies as a method of changing direction. It'll pop up on it's back wheels, turn, then lay back down and keep going. Another complaint I've seen is in regards to the filter basket not catching small particles. Based on those complaints I went ahead and ordered the additional "ultra-fine" filter (which is made of a papery mesh material, similar to a pool cartridge filter). In hindsight, I don't think I needed to buy that. I don't know for sure but I "think" they may have upgraded the included filter at some point as the standard filter has no problem catching algae particles and the regular "pool scum" type stuff. The included filter basket is not made with the same "pool cartridge" material, but does still have a very fine screen that seems to get everything. I have not even tried the additional filter as I haven't needed it. So anyhow...they're expensive compared to many options. But if you like having a very clean pool with little effort...this is the way to go!

JUST ORDERED MY SECOND UNIT
I just ordered another unit because my 6 y. o. E-10 just died. My original unit was called an "Echo" but the3y look identical. But you must realize that here in S. FL I clean my pool twice a week or more, 52 weeks a year and I have many trees and no pool cage. If you live in an area where you close the pool for the winter my use is the equivalence of 12 seasons for you. My pool is an inground 20 x 40 ft (29,000 gals.) gunite pool, which the E-10 is not recommended for but I could not be more pleased with the operation. The unit cleans the pool in one session and climbs right up past the water line. The wire is plenty long but I do have to disconnect it every few weeks and unwind the kinks. If there is a draw back to using E-10 in a pool larger than recommended is that when I have a lot of leaves in the pool, the basket will overflow and some debri will get into the propeller housing or overflow back into the pool. It takes just the removal of a few self tapping screws to get at the pump propeller to clean it out. No biggie. Just clean the basket before the robot completes its cycle if there is a lot of leaves in the pool. Or buy the $1, 500 unit meant for a bigger pool. Now for the bad news. While I could not be more pleased with the robot's cleaning function, the factory support is less than zero. I wore out the 4 wheels and the axle bushings which caused the rubber tracks to fall off and my dealer could not get me replacements. Dealing directly with the factory was also a big zero. When I eventually tracked down replacement parts from EZtestpools they were able to sell me some from stock and ordered me the rest. Although the parts were cheap it took 3 orders and 3 shipping charges to get what I needed. The shipping was as much as the parts. I blame Maytronics for the problems. I was able to find replacement rubber tracks on Amazon for $15.00 a pair while Dolphin wants $60.00. Another note of caution. While many videos show the control unit being left out in the weather DON"T DO IT! It is not weather proof. Also pull the plug out when the cycle is done. The unit still draws power and feels slightly warm to the touch. My unit started shutting off after a few minutes and I opened up the box out of curiosity. Although I did build a deck box to store the unit, there was still a fair amount of corrosion on the circuit board. I resoldered all the connections and bridged a portion of the circuit that looked corroded through. Low and behold that fixed the unit. My latest problem is the unit will not turn on. The blue light goes out as soon as you let go of the button. If I disconnect the wire from the control unit the light will stay on. I assume the wire, motor or both has leaked and parts would run over $400.00 if they are available. I am guilty of leaving the robot in the pool after use. Sometimes all week. I was not happy with the wire from the start. The insulation started cracking after 1 year. It was mostly cosmetic but got really bad lately. I have been told that the extended warranty is worthless because you have to return the unit to them and they can't get parts either. One last thing. The robot removes debri and scrubs the surface of the pool. If you have cloudy water check your chemicals and clean your pool filter. I hear they have an optional fine filter basket but I have not tried it. My pool filter keeps the water clear. All and all I am happy with the unit.

Don’t half to baby sit the pool anymore!
Hands‑Off Pool Cleaning That Really Works! We recently added the Dolphin E10 Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner to our above‑ground pool routine, and it’s been a game‑changer. This little robot takes all the manual scrubbing and vacuuming out of pool maintenance — just plug it in, drop it in the water, and let it go. It navigates your pool floor efficiently thanks to smart CleverClean™ navigation, covering the entire floor surface without random wandering. 📍 Powerful Cleaning Performance The built‑in active scrubbing brush does a great job lifting dirt, algae, and debris, and combined with strong suction, the E10 leaves the pool floor noticeably cleaner after each 1.5‑hour cycle. The top‑access filter basket makes debris removal quick and virtually mess‑free — just lift, rinse, and replace. ⚙️ Simple and User‑Friendly One of the best parts is how easy it is to use. There’s no complicated setup or programming — no timers, apps, or scheduling required. Just plug the E10 in, place it in your pool, and its intuitive navigation takes over. The lightweight design also makes it easy to lift in and out of the water. 👍 Pros: • Efficient floor cleaning with smart navigation and active scrubbing — excellent for debris and dirt. • Top‑load filter is easy to clean without touching the gunk. • Plug‑and‑play operation — no complicated setup or tech skills needed. • Lightweight and manageable, even for one person. ⚠️ Cons: • Floor‑only cleaning — it doesn’t climb walls or clean the waterline like higher‑end models. • No built‑in timer or app connectivity, so you’ll need to run it manually each time. • Fine debris capture may require an optional ultra‑fine filter for very tiny particles. Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ — A reliable, easy‑to‑use robotic pool cleaner that delivers spotless pool floors with minimal effort. It’s especially great for above‑ground pools up to ~30 ft, and while it lacks some premium extras, it’s an excellent value for straightforward, automatic cleaning.

Robot works great, warranty statement on listing needs to be clarified.
I've waited to write this review until we used this robot for a decent amount of time. I can say that it is a real time saver when it comes time to clean the pool. Almost every time I clean my pool it covers nearly every inch of the pool and it cleans very well. There have been a few times when it didn't get the entire pool floor, but it generally does great. I think one of the best things about the robot is that it has a self contained filter basket. So there's no hooking it into your filter. I have many trees around my pool and they drop a good amount of dirt into the pool. Typically I put the robot in the pool every day because there's dirt on the pool floor. All the dirt is captured in the robot's filter basket. This means I need to clean my pool filter much less often. When the robot is done cleaning I take it out of the pool and put it in my shed. Then I clean the filter basket which takes about 30 seconds. All in all I spend maybe 5 minutes a day putting the robot into the pool then taking it out and cleaning the filter basket. I used to spend 30 - 45 minutes every other day with the vacuum that connected to my pool filter via hose. This robot has done and incredible job cleaning my pool and saving me time. So why only 3 stars? Two reasons. 1. On the Amazon page for the robot it says quite clearly "The E10 is backed by a 2 year manufacturer's quality warranty protecting your investment." That was one of the main reasons I bought it. When you spend this kind of money you expect a longer warranty. My opinion is the warranty should be at least 3 years but there are few robots, if any, with a warranty that long. However, even though the listing says it has a 2 year warranty, when you get the robot and you look at the warranty card you can see what the warranty really is. The warranty card says 2 years for plastic parts and 1 year for cable, power supply and motor unit. Why not make that clear in the listing?? If you look at one of my images you'll see the actual warranty card statement that I put a red box around. It's highly unlikely a plastic part is going to fail in 2 years. It's way more likely something mechanical or electrical will fail. So they are being very deceptive about the true warranty on the unit. I did buy the extended warranty through Asurion, but I'm not holding out much hope they'll actually be helpful if needed based on reviews I've read about them. Hopefully I never have to find out. 2. Customer service appears to be non-existent. When I received my unit the filter basket had a hole in it. I know that sounds bad but it was in a place where it didn't really have a negative affect on the operation. However, being a new unit and being quite expensive I wanted to get the filter basket replaced with one that didn't have a hole in it. I called their support line and got no answer. I then sent an email and got no response to my email. So I'm assuming they don't really have a customer support group. Or if they do then they just don't care about actually helping their customers. I ended up having my wife sew up the hole in the basket. If you look at my other image you can see where she sewed up the hole. Filter works fine, but like I said, this is an expensive item and I should be able to expect quality. I do recommend the robot. Just keep in mind the 2 year warranty is not a complete warranty and good luck with their customer support if you need it. ***Update 6-27-2019*** After my review went public I the company responded to my comment almost immediately. I emailed them at the email address they gave in the response to my comment. They apologized for the lack of customer support during my initial attempts to reach out to them and they sent me a new filter to replace the one that had damage when I got the product new. So apparently I was just unlucky when I first tried to reach them. Since writing the review my experience with their customer service has been stellar. I still think the warranty statement for the product on Amazon needs to be clarified, but because of the great customer service I finally got I'm not going to remove any points for that. If I could give 4.5 stars I would. But all in all the product works great and customer service took quickly took care of the issue once I was able to reach them.

Changed my mind. Don't buy it. Broken twice!!!
Edit #3 at 3 years old. Working off and on. Fan sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Does NOT stay on the floor of the pool but rather rides on it's back wheels. We even tried zip ties with a weight to keep it down but nope. It did that straight out of the box intermittently but now is constant. I cannot explain to you how much I hate this thing. Do no buy it! Edit #2 at 2 years old, dead again. At 1yr 4 months the brain died to the machine, (see edit #1.)Company sent new one out however it was so late that the pool was too far gone. Closed early last summer. Had to drain it this year and refill. We've put the robot in, maybe 10 times in a freshly filled pool just to keep up with pollen and leaves. I've just gone out and found the brain is dead, again. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS. I'm ordering a Polaris now. There's a reason the price I paid has significantly dropped. Obviously others are seeing it's trash and they're having a hard time selling them. !!Edit. At 1yr and 4months old the power supply has stopped working. I've contacted customer service and am waiting for a response. I'm sure as all things, it's a1yr warranty and we're out of luck. I'll update the review if I find otherwise. For now, the stars go down to 1. Something this expensive shouldn't have issues it's second season in. Remember... This is a pool cleaner so it's not used year round. It's been used 6 months and stored, indoors out of the sun the rest of the time.!!!!! Had this a year now. Her name is Myrtle. Best way I can describe her is you know those dudes that have sugar babies? Super expensive, way more effort than necessary for how much they cost and a headache... Yeah, well. That's Myrtle. She will go behind the steps at every conceivable opportunity. She will only suck up what she seems to be enough and not an ounce more. One stick sends her reeling and she doesn't know what to do. She's an absolute PAIN to hoist out of the water. High maintenance. Long hair in the pool tangles her fan blades. She can't be in the sun out of the water. Her brain isn't water proof, only water "resistant". Her brain also overheats in the sun so you must provide the brain with shade. You can't use the cord to pull her out of the water... BUT she's still easier than the others and I can run my filter/jet while she's scrubbing away. She doesn't have bulky hoses and crap. So, will I buy another when she dies. Yes. Will I gripe bc something this expensive shouldn't be so dang finicky? Also yes. 🤣

Great pool vacuum!!
Love it! I’ve had it for three years now. I have not had one problem and it does a great job on our in ground fiberglass pool. Biggest mistake people make is leaving their pool vacuum in the pool after the 2 hr cycle is finished. Like overnight or for days. That will reduce its life drastically or even cause issues. You have to take it out and rinse it after each use with fresh water and store it indoors. Never leave in the pool longer than necessary to vacuum the pool. That’s the key to it working for a long time for any type of auto pool vac. Also, never put it in if the pool is being shocked. Highly recommend.

Time saver
I use this in my in ground pool which is 10x20 and it is a huge time saver. We are heavily tree covered and had to vacuum the pool daily, but now the E10 does all the hard work. Very basic 1 button operation does a 1.5hr clean, usually gets it all but any missed spots I just press it again for another round of cleaning. The basket is easily emptied. Best investment for any pool owner; I would buy a Maytronics again. My only dislike is the cord can block debris on the surface from getting picked up by the skimmer but otherwise a great cleaner.
