I have light to medium skin with redness i want to cover. What shade should i get?

You have just described MY skin! I, too am light (winter) to medium (summer) and I am using Suede. It's awesome because I dont have to use a different shade for different seasons as I'm using it all year 'round and the Suede blends nicely. I hope this helps. Also this isn't going to cover like a foundation does, it is a great way to moisturize and blend your skin tones. I use it every day but when I leave the house, I use a foundation over the Bare Minerals and it really works great.

Is buttercream a light tint?

I would say it's light, but a warm light, not a pale color.

Is this hypoallergenic

I don't know really. But I can say that I have very sensitive skin in the way of acne with allergies. I am 42 yrs old. Because of my very sensitive skin I have never worn "foundation." This tinted gel/cream has not caused me rashes or acne. It smoothes out my ruddiness enough without being cake like. I am also an oily complexion. It hasn't affected me negatively in any way. I have severe skin allergies and adult acne. I really like this stuff! It is my first tube and I will order it again. I am on 2 months of using it.

I usually wear Mediun tan what do you recomend
