Hi Theresa, In short, no. Happy Cappy, contains an active ingredient called pyrithione zinc. It is because of this ingredient that we are able to call Happy Cappy a medicated anti-dandruff and anti-seborrheic dermatitis shampoo. This ingredient eliminates flakes, scaling and redness. Pyrithione zinc has been proven to be safe and effective. You can find more on our website in this topic on happycappyshampoo.com. All medicated dandruff shampoos that contain any “active ingredient” must carry a warning to avoid contact with the eyes. Happy Cappy, however, unlike many other dandruff shampoos for adults has very gentle inactive ingredients and is fragrance and dye free which means it would likely cause less tearing than alternatives. What moisturizer has everyone used after using this as a body wash?

Just using your hands and massaging the lather in is enough. If the crust is thick, I suggest letting the lather sit for a minute or so before rinsing.
