Really surprised at how great this little kettle is and wonder why I didn’t purchase one sooner. This is my first electric kettle and I am very happy with it! It boils water extremely fast and is attractive sitting on our kitchen counter. Don’t be surprised by the lightweight, “cheap” plastic feel. It holds up well, does an excellent job and looks great. For the price I don’t think it can be beat. I use it daily for everything from cups of tea in the morning to making instant ramen for dinner’s. I would highly recommend.

Wish I would have bought sooner. Would have taken over stove kettle years ago. Heats soooo fast and stays hot. Love that it looks nice so if you need to leave out its not boring or ugly. Stores in a normal cabinet. Love the wrapped cord in the bottom so cord isn't floating when stored. Highly recommend. Great for price.

This kettle is my first electirc kettle, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it works like a charm and is a great addition. I was of the mind who needs one more kitchen appliance, but this is so handy and feel safe than my former stove kettle. It looks great on my white tiled counters.

The 1.7L capacity is sufficient for the whole family, and the cordless design makes it convenient to use. It heats water quickly, and the illumination adds a modern touch. This is probably the cutest electric keetle you can find on the market :)Aesthetically, it is a eye candy. To my surprise, I did not realize that this is not a double wall kettle; the inner wall is the same plastic as the outside surface. The first few batches of boiling water had a weird plastic taste. It was not until maybe 5 batches of "break-in" did the weird plastic taste go away. To be frank, I would probably give upon this if I knew this. Well, I am glad that the weird taste finally disappeared after a few rounds.Talking more about the pros and cons, it is not too heavy especially when compared to my previous "glass plus metal" keetle, and I do appreciate this. I would love it more if it came with beeping alarm sound when the water is ready. Lastly, the operation is very simple with just a click and then wait till it is done. It would better if the keetle equipped with several different temerature settings in another sense though.Overall, it is beautiful piece kitchen appliance and it functions as it should. You may be deterred by the inner plastic wall design at the beginning but the weird taste problem can be fixed.

This kettle works great! It heats water up in roughly two minutes and it gets super hot so really you could cut it off before then even. It’s got a different design to it which is fun instead of just you standard kettle sitting in the counter. Very happy with it

This purchase was the best thing I've bought in years. It exceeded my expectations. I've purchased 2 previous electric tea kettles that left me disappointed. One had 6 buttons that you had to press thru to get to the 220 degree "boil" button. I don't know about you, but when I wake up in the morning and want my tea, I don't want the hassle with buttons and tiny little words and numbers just to get the kettle boiling. This Black and Decker kettle is SIMPLE. One small button lifts the lid so you can fill with water. Set it on its base and press one button - and 2-3 minutes later, the water is boiling. The one with the 6 buttons stopped working after a few months and I was more than happy to toss it out. I reverted to the old stove top tea kettle (stored in the attic for emergencies) - never use a kettle that has its handle over the opening where the water boils! The spout spat water as it boiled and was not easy to pour accurately. It was also too heavy. The Black and Decker is gorgeous to look at, lightweight, easy and comfortable to hold and best of all, pours easily and accurately. Sounds simple, doesn't it - expecting a tea kettle to pour accurately?? Funny how one little tea kettle can make such a difference. I'm tempted to buy another one and squirrel it away in the attic in case the one I'm using ever dies. Best purchase in a very long time!
