Here's my take...

Love this thing. Have made a filter wrap out of one of those blue sheets (about 2'x2') furnace filter and secured it with zip ties around a 5-gallon bucket that I set the pump into. This way it minimizes any debris and sediments getting into the pump and shortening it's life. I estimate I've pumped about 55,000 gals of water through it based on GPH rating and hours. I'm pumping 25 ft with an increase of 3-ft elevation. I make sure to remove power before or shortly after it pumps down to 1/4" remaining in the bucket. Make sure you drill at least 30 or so 1/4" holes in the bucket. I'd dig a hole to set the bucket if possible. It's pretty quiet if that matters. Thought my electric bill would jump but haven't seen that happen. Cheers.

The best pump I have used, it works

Every rain reason there is water accumulated in our basement/craw space. The water is hard to remove. I tried another brand of pump, but it didn't work at all. I had to use hand pump to suck the water manually. It took me numerous round to suck the water out of basement. With this Wayne water bug, it effectively sucks most of the water out of the basement. The floor won't be completely dry, but it helps a lot. The remaining water can be blown to dry by a box fan.

Powerful little pump!

This little pump is a life saver! I live in a very low lying area with a high ground table. Inevitably, the water accumulates in my yard during any given hard rain. It's an equivalent amount to a small pond. This little thing had that water pumped out in about 3 hours! I use it with my regulars garden hose. I highly recommend the Waterbug!

sucks nice

Was having a chronic problem with my Dry room getting water from next store. Its my dry room because I keep a dehumidifier running all the time due to high humidity. this pump did as advertised sucking down to floor level. It just takes some time.

SO GOOD.

Ooooooweee, this little sucker helps us get the disgusting water out of our above ground pool - down to the very bottom - after the cover fell in over the winter and created quite the mess. And it works FAST. Like way faster than we were expecting. So glad we purchased this. It was a lifesaver in cleaning our pool.

Great for emergency

Works great, it held up running all night with water in the basement. I put it on a timer so it would shut off and turn on every hour and run for a half hour.

Not sure what to call this Product

I purchased this pump in 2023 at the home depot. worked very well for a few times I needed it to expel water from my pond while I was cleaning it. This is not something I use everyday only for cleaning my pond every six months. The pond is cemented like a pool so there is no mud. I needed to clean my pond again in 2024 and tried to use it. did not work. Purchased a new one from amazon since home depot was out of stock. Used it one weekend. Came back to complete my cleaning the following weekend ; did not work. the window to return it is very small so it's impossible to store something and have it not working when needed and being unable to return it. since this is not a product I use everyday. I need some help here!!!

Saved the day twice

I bought this through Amazon and paid for two-day shipping because of a flooded basement from unusually wet snows and rain in April. It came in two days and we used it right away-- the pump is easy to use and a lot of information can be found online here and at the Wayne website. What used to take hours or days of pushing water with a floor squeegee and mopping, instead took some easy time monitoring the pump, making sure it was in the deep spots. You could see the water level dropping across the floor within minutes of turning it on. The pump is very quiet while working-- just a low churning sound, so you can stand beside it comfortably. Our basement floor was not terribly dirty, but the pump handled a small amount of grit without plugging up the filters. It won't get the floor completely dry, because it will start sucking in air when the water level gets too low (when it sucks air it gets noisier). But we finished up the last damp bits with a shop vac and then put the Waterbug into the shop vac canister and pumped the water out the window and far from the house using a hose, instead of overwhelming the septic system by putting all that water down the drain.Just when we had the basement dry from the snow/rain, the washing machine broke and flooded the basement-- so the Waterbug saved the day again, clearing the floor in minutes. (The Waterbug didn't fit down inside the washing machine, though-- I used a piece of hose to siphon out the standing water.)I have already recommended the Waterbug to friends. The most important thing to know is how to "prime" the Waterbug if air gets sucked in---- the pump has two connections where you can hook up a hose. One on the top, one on the side.-- if air gets sucked in because the water level is too low, the pump gets noisier and doesn't work well. Do NOT let it run with air in the system for long, or you can damage it.-- to clear out the air while the pump is running, open the drain cover on the connection you're not using until water flows out, then close it (screw on the cover). You should notice the pump is then quiet and pumping well.Remember that water flows downhill. When you turn off the pump, any water left in the hose that is higher than the pump will flow back out the bottom of the pump (this applies if you are pumping water up out of a basement and the pump is lower than the hose).
