I had been looking for hooks on Amazon and many have reviews such as they bent, broke, came deformed, etc. I stumbled upon these ones and they looked sturdy. I got them yesterday and have yet to get out to the lake but these things are thicker than hooks I've seen before other than very large ones. Even the small ones are pretty thick, which to me tells me they are not going to bend easy.I cannot wait to get back out to the lake and try them out! Got the kids new poles and strung them up with the smaller hooks from this set so we will see! I'll update when we catch something!

Good hooks, BUT eyes NOT smooth... AND for catfish, you only need the 7/0 size (see pics)...
These hooks are good, BUT... they are sharp, sturdy, and you get a nice assortment. But, the 7/0 size recommended for catfish is really the only size you need. This pack comes with hooks up to 6/0 size, which is adequate for cats. I did not use the others much. So far I have caught cats from 8 inches all the way up to (as big as they get around here in PA) 9 pounds, thirty inches on the 7/0 size I purchased from another vendor (XFISHMAN, see pics).NOTE- unlike some other brand of hooks I purchased (XFISHMAN), the eyes on these are NOT SMOOTH (as advertised) and could abrade the knots... the abrasion will not happen if you tie, for example, a Palomar or Improved Clinch knot, keeping the line away from the end of the eye. The knots must stay away from the end of the eye of the hook, where there is a burr from being cut-off at the factory, otherwise they will probably abrade.
