This quantity is much more than I need, but better too much of the right product than asking for trouble with the wrong product!This hard to find plumber's putty is rated to work on ABS plastic - very commonly used for sink drains.If you look at other products, please make sure that it specifically says that it is rated for the type of plastic you want to use it for! We were having issues getting our thermostat to read properly and get to a consistent temp reading. I was convinced it was a faulty thermostat but after calling the manufacturer they suggested I get some plumber putty to adhere to the wiring and seal the gap between the inside and wall. As tiny of a hole as it was, I was extremely skeptical it would resolve the issue. But yet it did. Now instead of the 1 - 2 degree difference in temp reading, we are spot on.

I ordered "White" putty because I wanted the product to be "white". However, the container said White Soft Seal Plumbers Putty, but the product was grey, just like any other putty. I returned the order, "very disappointed in what I consider false advertising!

Color is not white - it is off white. Looks dirty under stopper in sink
