Why did you pick this product vs others?:Bought this in honor of my parents, who re-united after a move across country and a year apart, when my Dad's vacation flight to LA was rerouted to San Francisco and he was in a bus stop waiting for the alternate transportation they had arranged and decided to call my mother on a whim. They met earlier and dated during the summer but she was a teacher and had moved to a new job out west. As luck would have it, he found her on a day off from school, she came and picked him up in her "robin's egg blue" convertible, and the rest was history. A tiny vial of Dad's ashes sit in the passenger seat of this model. I honored his wishes, sort of, to have some of his ashes put in an old car to be scrapped, since he was in the scrap business. Instead, a little bit of him is frozen in time and memory in this model. The quality of the product is worthy of the honor it is fulfilling. Worth getting if you want a high quality car of this classic make, model and color.

This was a Christmas gift to my grandson, and he loves it.

I was visiting my parents the other day and my dad started reminiscing about his high school days and his younger days after graduation. He mentioned this car he had (1958 Chevy Impala, baby blue, convertible) and his face lit up. He described every detail and told stories of this baby blue car. As he was talking, I was on Amazon looking for this beauty. Everything he described was captured perfectly in this replica. When my dad received the gift, he said it was the best gift he ever got and I don't have to get him another present (I will of course), but this little car made him so happy. He even had my mom playing with it. What a wonderful item - thank you.

I bought this car because the description said, Steerable Front Wheels. The front wheels do not turn left and right, so they are not steerable. The steering wheel turns, but it does not turn the wheels, and even trying to turn the wheels by hand, left and right is not possible. I spent a long time reading the specifications of the cars, and chose this because it said, steerable front wheels....it is just a fixed straight setup. So, can't turn. I am a driving instructor and I wanted to demonstrate parallel parking with the car. Description is not true.

I bought this for an older gentleman as a gift and he was impressed at the build quality and the level of detail. The 1958 Impala is his favorite year and he loves displaying it for everyone to see. This model car will definitely make someone happy.

Great product and detail

This diecast reminds me of watching the lowriders cruising down Franklin Blvd., in Sacramento when I was a kid. This purchase (decently priced) was well worth the nostalgia alone. I collect diecast 1:18 & 1:24 models and Motormax never disappoints.
