One of my favorite kits from Warlord Games. So many options.

Petite Figures
These are very tiny figures. They are MUCH smaller than your standard toy soldiers you'd buy at a Dollar Store. They are made ok. You should probably buy tweezers to work with them. Requires fine motor skills and patience

Rather than GPS perhaps you need to teach your drivers the difference between A and B next door

Beautiful Sculpts and Variety of Assembly Options
Love the quality and detail of the sculpts on Warlord's figures. By far and away the best 28mm WWII figures out there right now as far as I'm concerned. The multitude of options in each kit is also great, allowing lots variety in building the figures out. The figures are all multi-part figures.

How many Soviets? All of them.
The biggest problem with a Soviet army is that the Soviets come in one quantity: All of them. This set does go a long way towards rectifying that problem! Just on the surface, $48 for 40 models is a huge bargain, from someone who's collected Games Workshop armies... Heck, if I needed an Imperial Guard army, I would be tempted to start with this set, heh heh heh. The models are normal Warlord Games standard, with heads that are a trifle too big to be in scale with their bodies, but it's not bad - they're not bobble-heads. The selection of uniforms is interesting, with about 1/4 of the models wearing the reversible summer/winter coveralls. These I made into Mongolian troops. Where the set really shines is the weapons array. There aren't enough light machine guns, but there are more PTRD anti-tank rifles than anyone will ever need...and five, count them five, different marks of sub-machine guns! With multiple guns for some of those marks. As a point of historical accuracy, I was disappointed that there weren't more rifles with bayonets on them - the standard Sov rifle really wants the bayonet fixed to control barrel whip. But this is a fine set for someone wanting a Soviet force; add a few extra weapon teams, and you're set. And, if you truly want the all-infantry tournament force, Warlord also has another 40-man box of Soviet troops in winter uniform!
