I had these shoes from The North Face for a few years now. Still in great condition but the purple color was looking sad and faded. I personally would have liked if they came in a darker purple color but it didn't. However after reading through the reviews on Amazon about this product, I was convinced to buy it and try it out. And as you can see, the pictures say it all. From a pale faded purple, it became this beautiful deep purple that I absolutely love! It was easy to paint on. I did use a detailing brush to do the edges but the puff ball it came with was great at painting in the larger patches of the leather. Now I'll spray on waterproofing spray and it'll be better than ever. Totally recommend this product. Very mild odor. I didn't have to paint this outside. But definitely need to use gloves and something to cover your work table because it will stain good.

This black suede dye worked really well. It refreshed the faded areas of my sneakers and made the black look rich again. Easy to apply with great results!

Needed 3 bottles for a very large and faded jacket. Very pleased dye did not change the texture of the suede. Did not get wet or sticky, dye dried quickly and did not transfer to anything else. A nice project. The color was exactly as stated and did not dye my fingers. I gave this very faded jacket two coats of dye, but one would have been ok.

I had high hopes for this dye. As you can see it works great! These shoes were grey and very worn out but now they look brand new! Unfortunately I noticed after, 2 days left to dry, I went to wipe the white parts and noticed that the black was coming off into my hands. I then rubbed some parts with a dry paper towel and the color was coming off. I don’t think all the color will come off ever but it isn’t completely permanent after it dries.

Fiebing's Black Suede Dye (4 oz) was purchased during august of 2023 for the price of $9.98 plus tax. the product is now available for the price of $9.89 plus tax (December 16, 2024). The shoes upon which the dye was used were new. However, the coloring seemed to be a bit faded...not as saturated as I would have liked them to be. Although I have never gone through the process of dyeing shoes previously, I really wanted to enjoy these shoes...so I took a chance after watching a few YOUTUBE videos. The process of using the Fiebing's Dye was as straight forward as one would hope, and expect. The only suggestion is to be prepared before beginning as to avoid making a mess of the application, or accidental spillage. The most important aspect of obtaining the best results is to follow the instructions. After having done just that, the results were superlative. The color saturation that I desired was immediatrely appparent upon completion. The most important thing about the process is to make sure you have a suitable suede brush in order to release the nap of the suede after the dye had completely dried. If, for some reason, the saturation of color is not to one's satisfaction, it wouldn't be outside the realm of suggestions to apply another coat of dye. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the results of using this product. Howver, I can only attest to the results of having used the Black dye. I have no idea if similar results would be obtained with the different color dyes that are being offered by Fiebing's. Nonetheless, Fiebing's has an excellent reputation of offering quality products. It would be worth the effort to take a chance on the spectrum of colors offered.

Not the best. Didn't want to seal completely without a heavy layer. Then that was too much. Had to rinse the suede with water to get the excess off. Wouldn't buy again. But it works.

This is perfect for doc marten suede shoes and birkenstocks as well! looks like i bought a brand new pair of shoes! There's also not a strong smell with the stain it's kind of just like rubbing alcohol. would buy again!

Color description isn't quite what you get. Applying it to light suede didn't produce any kind of brown at all. Final color is a bright orange/brown, like a terra cotta clay pot.

This product is easy to use. Brush the suede first well then start painting. I used a tiny paint brush for the edges and the regular cotton swab provided. Then brush again before drying overnight. Mind you the boots were new which may have made the color change easier.

Easy to apply with the included dauber. Restores color beautifully without cracking or peeling. Highly recommend for suede shoes and accessories.

Good quality suede dye was used to dye brown boots black well absorbed into the suede I did use a couple of coats to get the boot darker but overall good quality very messy to use would advise using gloves and putting newspaper down so you don’t get any splatters

This dye was recommended to me after a poor experience with another brand. Absolutely fantastic coverage and no horrible smell.
