Non-Programmable Thermostats for Home Conventional Single-Stage Systems, up to 1 Heat/ 1 Cool (with Green Backlight)

I am legally blind.The unit that I had installed two years ago was impossible for me to read AT ALL!I am sure there are other similar thermostats out there. Although I was apprehensive at the $23 cost, I went ahead and bought this.A friend had it installed in thirty minutes!The unit works on two AA batteries. The battery compartment is easily accessible on the bottom front of the unit. NO FUMBLING AROUND!This unit is a basic unit. You cannot program it. It will work for an HVAC system (heat and cool) and is truly easy to see, with the large green backlit screen.A great item for the money, it is now only one week old, but I am hopeful it will last!Mike

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I first bought a tried and true Honewell thermastat that was defective right out of the box. This one seemed to have necessary features with out features not needed. Functionality:I installed it today, very simple instalation so far working very well. Programmability:Very easy to set up using the up and down buttons. also easy to change settings. Reliability:To be determined. Display size:Easy to see for older people Thermostat quality:good quality and packaging Looks great:nice apperance.

I was looking for a simple non-programmable thermostat to replace the programmable one we had that was malfunctioning. I first purchased a Honeywell brand non programmable one that looked a little sleeker than this one. However, it only had what seemed like a half degree differential and it was causing my furnace to short cycle (6-8 minutes). I ordered this thermostat in hopes that it would work as intended. It works exactly how it should and no more short cycling! This thermostat was easy to install by reading the manual. It looks great and the large display with green backlight is easy to read. I compared the temperature to an indoor thermometer and it was spot on. I appreciate the simplicity of the thermostat and I’m glad that I don’t have to fight with complicated programming. The wiring to my furnace only contains 3 wires and is unable to support modern smart thermostats. So if you need a simple thermostat or are replacing an older thermostat, this is an excellent option. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t come with a wall/back plate. But they do have one available to purchase separately and I will be ordering that next.

Works great without a lot of fuss. Simple connection for my one zone heating setup. Two wire 24VAC connection compatible. Battery compartment on the front is great. Well done, a good value for the money.

The media could not be loaded. I’m happy to stick with the basics, and this old-fashioned thermostat is perfect. No Wi-Fi, no apps—just a reliable, easy-to-use unit that does exactly what it’s supposed to. Installation was straightforward, and it works like a charm. Sometimes, simple is better—and I’m glad to stay traditional!

Easy installation. excellent unit. Face does not stay lit which would ware down the two AAA batteries/ Press a button and face lights up.. I can easily read the numbers without my glasses.f I was younger I would order another one for backup. Wire tag sheet includes other colors than red, white, yellow, etc. Very nice package Works well.

I absolutely love this thermometer. It lights up when I touch a button LED is bright and the numbers are large perfect and I don't have to have my glasses on exactly what I need it. No fancy controls. Just an easy thermometer to move the temperature up or down.

This, is a good investment in a thermostat. Works great. Easy to install. And yes, if but it again if I needed to. But I don't.
