Works good, but not well documented.
Had some initial problems getting the LSI Megaraid software found, and then figuring out how to actually use it to configure, but shortly thereafter was able to setup a 4 Drive 18 TB RAID5 array in my pc. Older discussions about the card stated the Battery backup unit was an expensive add-on, but this is no longer the case and when I added one (also found here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W918TL9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) it sped up the RAID 5 array to around 400 MB/s in Task manager.

very old model with slow firmware and just a bare card
review attempt 2 despite not being sure what if anything actually violated review rules and the old one just vanished when I clicked "edit"bought this to build a raid-5 for my home media server, kinda have to have one because I use it to host game worlds for offline AFK style processing, and the storage for backups and installers for various niche software and patches for games that often get flagged for takedownssadly I did not expect this to add 2 MINUTES to the POST sequence(seems to be some form of delayed spinup or S.M.A.R.T. grace time that could have been done AFTER POST is completed) and I fought with it for a few hours because one of my drives I intended to use temporarily was dying and kept doing this odd thing where it refused to let me enter config and instead opened the normal BIOS and refused to close itbut as long as you are not against long bootup times and don't mind the windows utility being non-functional due to some issue fundamental to it's design, this is a very affordable option for the home user trying to get the necessary function of real universal raid-5 despite what laymen on reddit may claim
