We bought two of these trains. One for a Great-Grandson and one for my husband. (Never leave out the really Big Kids in the family!) The Great-Grandson is having a ball with his. The Big Kid loves his too, for around the tree, except for only one complaint. The noise (bells, engine, etc. sounds) never stops. So, putting it under our tree and trying to have a conversation or watch TV while it ran was just about impossible! It's a great buy also at the price Amazon is charging! Get one for yourself, you won't be sorry.

It's a very respectable toy. It was easy to put the track together, I wasn't crazy about how the cars hooked up, but it was easy and effective. The motor could use a little more power, it only wanted to pull 3 cars instead of all 5. I didn't like the power button, it should have switched the other way, every time I turn it on I would end up derailing it. I should have gotten one with a remote cause I don't like getting on the floor under my Christmas tree to turn it on.

Tracks are little fragile

I bought this for my 7yr old grandson for his birthday. He loves trains. What a disappointment. It looked great and was easy to assemble the track. The train would not stay on the track. It you had just the engine on the track it would move. If you tried to connect all the cars, it moved so slow it almost wasn’t moving. After about 10 minutes of use, it stopped. We put new batteries in and the light was on but it would not move. I would not recommend purchasing this.

This train set is not good quality. The plastic used is not kids friendly, it has some sharp corners and gold paint wears off. It’s also not easy to connect the engine with rest of the pieces, they keep detaching.

My 4 year old son earned this train and was so excited when it arrived. Within 3 weeks, the motor has stopped working and the engine no longer moves. We’ve replaced the batteries so we know that’s not the issue. I have reached out to customer service and am waiting a response. Hoping to get this fixed as my son worked very hard for this train and is very upset it’s out of commission.*UPDATED to 5 stars - wrote to them on Friday. By Wednesday, they replaced the entire train, not just the broken part. One happy little boy over here!

My husband is going batty being cooped up. he is total care, and can not use his hands much. He wanted a train and I found this one because it was inexpensive. It turned out to be quite nice. It is much bigger than I expected, and there is a great deal of track. We have it on our dining table and my husband eats beside it. His nurses and therapists all are delighted with it. The cars are a little tricky for my old fingers to put together, but once they are together, the train moves really good. I am very glad we found this set.

The media could not be loaded. The train is adorable. However, it does not easily just set onto the track. Consequently it takes a little work for an adult who knows what they're doing, and it's really difficult for my 4 year old grandson. Then once it's on the track correctly, you move the switch to turn it on and if you are not real gentle, it can displace the train again. Trying to get all five cars attached to the engine is easy, except they disengage from each other easily. Thus, while you're trying to get all the cars on the track properly you also have to keep reconnecting the cars. My grandson just takes the engine by itself and lets it run around the room off the track. I won't give up on it, but it's very frustrating and disappointing.
