I bought the shampoo and conditioner combo. I recently made a HUGE investment in going back to blonde and wanted to try a color protecting shampoo and conditioner. After much research that would not break the bank, I decided to try Joico. The claims are: Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Color-Protecting Shampoo and Conditioner | For Color-Treated Hair | Boost Shine | Improve Elasticity | Repair Breakage | Rebuild Damaged Hair | With Keratin & Argan Oil When I use these two together, I have seen an improvement in shine and elasticity. My fine straight hair is smooth and smells wonderful. I do notice that there is minimal tangling in my hair (My hair has a mind of its own and is sometimes difficult to deal with). The quality is up there with the salon brands and as you know the better the product the less you have to use so it will save money in the long run. If you are going to invest in color for your hair do your research and pick a brand that will keep that bright shiny new hair for the longest period of time between colors. This may just be the brand for you!

This works well, smells nice, but very expensive. I expected something thick and luxurious for this price point, but it was rather thin and runny. As far as keeping the color longer, it works. I purchased the shampoo also, and it definitely works well on keeping the color.
