I own two of these. Read for tips of some problems people are commenting about
I own two of these swivel type and two stationary type. The stationary reels are much sturdier and I haven’t had any problems with them. You’ll most likely run into some problems with these swivel reels, but a little preventative maintenance will go a long way. Despite the description saying it won’t rust, obviously it might in some cases.1. Spray all the moving parts, especially-under the black pivot knob that pulls up to rotate reel-both sides of where the hand crank connects and same spot on the other side of reel-any signs of rustwith some type of rust prohibitor/lubricant.I use Fluid Flim and it’s worked great at keeping it rust free and keeps the moving parts from sticking. All hose products will leak eventually, some more than others. There are O-rings that break over time and need to be replaced. My advice before installing to wall is make sure the o-rings are all good and all the screws that you can find are tight. The brass swivel connection on the side of reel that the leader hose from house spigot connects to could be better. There are two o-rings on it that you can’t see that might be broken if you experience leaking and also a clear/white hose gasket where the leader hose screws into that are prone to breaking. To replace the inner o-rings you have to unscrew the whole brass piece from the reel and pull it out. You can’t do this with while the hose is on the reel so take it off completely if reel is already installed onto wall. There’s a black screw located in the middle of reel under where hose would be inside a circular cutout that holds the brass swivel piece in place, you have to loosen that screw before you can unscrew the whole brass swivel piece and pull it out to check the o-rings. You can find replacement o-rings for this on Amazon as well.1. Unscrew the black screw I mentioned that’s inside the cutout in middle of reel. You’ll need a hex/allen wrench or hex screwdriver. Idk what size hex it is so you’ll have to figure that out.2. Use a wrench orchannel locks(tongue&groove) pliers to unscrew brass swivel piece from inside of reel. Once unscrewed the reel will fall so be careful when taking it out and if my memory serves me right there will be a rubber gasket where the brass piece screws into the inside of reel. It’s important that you don’t lose it and make sure that it’s lined up correctly when reinstalling brass piece or it will leak, just keep that in mind.3. Replace the two black o-rings on the brass piece if broken and spray some lubricant on them before reinserting brass piece back into middle of reel. It’s a good idea to wrap some nylon tape around threads of brass piece before reinstalling, it will prevent it even more from leaking.4. Once the brass piece and rubber gasket it slides through on inside of reel are lined up and pushed all the way in, take your wrench/channel lock pliers and carefully screw it in until it’s nice and snug, make sure to not cross thread it when doing that or you’re screwed. (pun intended)5. Screw the black hex/allen screw that you loosened inside middle cutout down tight. This prevents the brass piece from unscrewing from reel.6. Check the hose gasket inside the female end of your hose and replace if necessary before screwing hose onto reel.7. Say a prayer and turn on hose spigot.8. Brag about the great job you’ve done fixing your rusting, leaky hose reel.

Perfect Fit and Applciation
This hose reel is a perfect solution for the location. We have been looking for a solid, decorative, large capacity hose reel for years to meet the needs of the specific location where our hose bib is. The one we have been using for the last twenty years has always been a pain in the butt to reel due to the reel handle being on the right (as opposed to left) side of the assembly. This reel has the ability to rotate allowing the handles to be on either side as well as any angle. The integral shelf makes a great storage area for the hose attachments. Construction appears to be quality, but like everything these days, it is imported, so time will tell about it longevity. The one that lasted for twenty years was an Ames product that is no longer made. I could have gotten more years out of it but Ames no longer sells parts for it. I am sure this reel will have the same issue in time. Metal reels should last a lifetime, but all of these imported reels are made of pot metal which deteriorates quickly due to the elements. I have tried plastic made reels in this location as well, but due to the direct sunlight, you can only get a year or two before they crack and fall apart.

Easy to roll up and it doesn't leak!! I have been through 6 prior this one is the best.
This bad boy is the real deal, and I couldn't be happier with it.First off, let's talk about mounting. Now, we all know how frustrating it can be when something claims to mount securely but ends up flopping around like a fish out of water. Not this hose reel, my friends! It sticks to the wall like it's got a secret adhesive superpower. No wobbles, no worries. It's like having your own trusty sidekick, holding your hose up high and proud. And the rolling action? Oh, mama! Rolling up a hose has never been this easy. I mean, I've seen hoses fight back harder than a stubborn mule, but not with this bad boy. It reels in the hose with such grace and ease, you'll be cheering it on like you're watching a sports event. It's like having a personal hose wrangler that knows all the tricks of the trade. Now, here's the real kicker. This thing doesn't leak. Nope, nada, zilch. I've had more leaks in my life than a colander, but the Liberty Garden 710 Navigator put an end to that nonsense. It keeps that water in check like a seasoned plumber. No more soggy socks or surprise showers while you're just trying to water your plants. It's a leak-free zone, my friends, and it's glorious. In fact, this hose reel is so good that I couldn't resist buying not one, but two of them. Yeah, I went all out. One for the front yard, one for the back. So, if you're tired of dealing with wimpy hose reels that can't hold their ground, can't roll up a hose without a fight, and leak like a sieve, then do yourself a favor and get the Liberty Garden 710 Navigator. It's a game-changer, a hose reel that means business.
