I use these water crystals for my plants so that they get enough water and the crystals soak up the rest for future plant needs. I make up a huge bucket outside when planting my big pots using about one cup of the crystals to several gallons of water. I mix it in with the soil and then place the plant in the pot. We have had very good luck with this product. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. A little bit goes a long way. This stuff is kinda fun to use. You can see in the pics and the video how it works. Holds moisture well for your plants. Have been using for a few months and it hasn't changed the color of my soil or the depth, you can't see it if you do it right(not putting it on the top of the soil but a couple inches in the dirt) haven't seen any mold. Have mushrooms in 1 pot but I literally have this in 50 pots and in my garden bed so no fault of this product 😆 😅 have purchased several times and will definitely purchase again when my supply runs low. I buy 2 at a time. Great bang for your buck and helps save on watering. With 90-100° days I can water every other day so a time saver too🧚‍♀️💃🧚

it is helpful, i live in a very dry area and it helps my plants to retain water at there roots ..will buy again..

I haven't used these yet, but I used them a few years ago to retain water for geraniums in wood windowboxes I had in California. They worked great! I now only need them for a three foot long French style metal and coco-mat hanging planter. It just gets too dehydrated in the summer and so I need these hydrogel granules --it's winter now, so too early to use just yet, but I look forward to boosting my plants in the spring with these granules. I really recommend them to anyone interested in them because they really do work!!!

I purchased these water storing crystals to go into neck cozies for keeping cool in the summer. Basically, I took a 18"x9" scrap of fabric, sewed the ends leaving a pouch and then put these crystals inside and sewed it up. If you do this, bear in mind that 1/4 teaspoon expands about 7x's its size when wet, so don't overfill your pouch!After I filled my neck cozy (with about 1 1/4 tablespoons worth), I soaked them in ice water for about an hour. The crystals become balls of non-toxic gel. Virtually no water drips from this neck cooler and as the water evaporates from the water storing crystals, it just shrinks down in size and is ready to repeat the process. Not sure how many times this will work, but since this is the same product used in hot and cold compresses sold in stores that are reusable, I'd assume 'many times'.Another craft idea is to soak these in a combo of scented oil and water. You'll be left with scented beads, which as the water evaporates, give off whatever scent you added to the water. A DIY air freshener.Then there's the intended purpose, to retain water in the soil of your plants. It works great for that as well. I mixed in a teaspoon to a quart of soil for houseplants. Depending upon the climate where you live, you may end up watering once a month instead of once a week. It's great to leave on vacation and know you'll still have 'live' plants when you return.The package says keep out of reach of children and pets, however no mention of the product being toxic to them has been found in any literature I've read about this or similar products. Obviously the crystals do expand with moisture, so if ingested by anyone (human or animal) they would expand and could cause blockages in the digestive system which would be very harmful if not fatal.Fun to play with and extremely useful for many projects, do a search online for : "Polymer Water Crystals Have Many Uses Beyond Saving Water" to learn more about how you can use these for your craft projects.
