Good
What I was trying to fix? I wanted my door to close snugly without it rattle back and forth. I also needed the smart lock to be able to lock without having to push the door closed. Problems I ran into: The plate is definitely longer than my traditional plate. I had to use a wood chisel to knock out some of the wood. I traced the plate then chiseled out the wood. It was relatively easy. The second problem I ran into was that I had to position the plate quite bit to the back of the frame. Meaning when I close the door, the door would have hit the wood frame first before it hit the strike plate. So I re-positioned it more towards the front and hope for the best. Third problem I ran into was the screws. The screws were quite long and I got to a point where I felt resistance and didn't want to drill in further. So I opted for shorter screws which i did have some on hand. Fourth problem, the locking plate does sit flush with the striking plate if you have a flush screw. Unfortunately, the screws I had wasn't flush so stuck out a bit which hit the door everytime I tried to close. I could have fixed this by running to the hardware store but I ended up forgoing the locking plate. I screw directly to the striking plate and it worked! Door closes snugly, there is very little play when I pull on the knob, and my smart lock didn't need additional assistance to lock on its own. Overall, I did have to customized it for my needs but the design was sound and it works. The plate does feels solid and looks great. Price was fantastic. As long as you understand this isn't a drop in plate and you will need to customize it to your fit, you should be good.

Works well.
I live in an old house that seems to always be moving. Frequently over 16 years the doors won't properly close. Latches/bolts misalign with the strike plate. Ideally you need to move the strike plate 1/8" but then the screw holes would merge. Huge chronic problem. I've hung and fixed hundreds of doors. This seems a great workaround. Easy to adjust, just back out the screw a little bit. Move the plate, tighten the screws. It isn't pretty though, but if your door jamb is shifting, pretty isn't your issue. Security is a bit less. This isn't a high strength security fitting. My experience however, is that it's the length and size of the screws is more critical to resisting someone kicking in the door. Tip: Always first check to see if the hinge screws are screwed in. (Don't just (over)tighten them, you'll strip the holes.) This and seasonal swelling are the more likely problem with wooden doors. And check the top and bottom of your door. Are they painted? This is how moisture gets in swells the door causing it to stick and the hardware to misalign.

Work as advertised
I have used these on a couple of doors so far and are easier to adjust than bending existing door strikes. I would have given them a five except for the fact that they are taller than the standard door strikes and require a little chisel work to install. My home has a few improperly installed exterior doors on my garage doors and have yet to replace those strikes with these. I used them on an interior door I reworked by adding weather stripping for usage on a wine cellar door and they worked great to set the weatherstrip compression to a desired amount. I would buy again but expect a little rework to install them.

Made it work, but not a good solution
I made this work but it is poorly designed. It doesn't fit into the same spot as a standard strike plate, so you have to mortise/cut a larger cut-out in to the door frame for this to fit. The screw spacing also does not match those of a standard strike plate so you have to plug/fill the existing hole so that the screw for this strike plate doesn't strip. After doing all of this work, tightening down the screws bends the two metal plates so that they have a slight V shape - which can snag someone's clothing if not careful. I'm generally surprised by the lack of options on the market for an adjustable strike plate. I needed one to help my door close tighter against the door frame, just 1/8th of an inch or so. In retrospect I could have just moved the existing strike plate as it was the same amount of work to cut a new recess and plug/fill/move the screw holes.

Adjustable door strike plate is a great time-saver!
this product is a life saver for a metal door jamb! I installed foam weather stripping on my door jamb and the door no closed! this adjustable door strike enable me to fine tune the door closure so that an excellent closure was achieved without having to slam the door. Due to space limitations, I installed the adjustable strike without the two locking tabs and found that by tightening the screws I was able to secure the striker in place without any problems.

Works very well
I received this door strike today, it came well packaged and is just what I expected. It works exactly as it should and seem well made. Overall, this purchase perfectly matches its description, and I am extremely satisfied with the product. It definitely deserves a five-star rating and I would purchase again!

My house settles and expands with thw canadian extreme temperatures. This allows me to adjust my doors so makes it easier to close them during temperatur exteeams.

A lot of people say it is cheap but Inconsider that a plus. I insulted my door in my room and so it wouldn’t close with the original one so i bought this and the fact that it has curves made it not work but its so cheap I risked it and took a hammer to flatten the parts where the screws enter with the rest of the body and it worked great.

The adjustment plates don't lock at all. Useless as is, I took my dremel tool and reshaped the teeth so they would lock properly.

The Good Parts * Good design for moving the strike plate back and forth * Comes with everything you need * The included screws, while not as long as I'd like are much longer than the strike plate screws that come with most door knobs/levers * Easy to install Could Be A Lot Better * Metal is soft, the little plates that hold the strike plate in place can bend if tightened too much * The screw hole in the little plates are too large (or alternatively, the screw heads are too small) - I managed to screw one of the included screws right through the hole in one of the little plates. I ended up having to use another screw to hold the plate in place
