This game is so fun! I now instinctively speak like a cave person, and its a problem im getting ready to eat small tree cheese soup (broccoli cheddar soup) this game is addicting if you like speaking like a cave person than this is the game for you I highly recommend poetry for Neanderthals

This was so much fun! Ages 8-73 were all laughing and struggling to find single syllable words to get us to guess the word on the cards. Everyone loved the blowup Neanderthal club/bat thing too. Imagine all your friends and/or family acting like Bam-Bam, the little boy from The Flinstones cartoon. It was an additional element that initially seemed unnecessary but quickly proved to be a brilliant addition that kept everyone involved, no matter what team was taking its turn guessing. We had the player of the opposite team standing over the person giving the clues…it was so funny watching everyone on both sides play different parts of the Neanderthal theme. The rules are also wonderful from a growth mindset perspective. It is almost inevitable each person, at some point, will say part of the word on their card or use a multi-syllable word without thinking but the rules are that you just lose a point and move onto the next card, as long as time is still left on the timer. So a mistake doesn’t become upsetting to those who may be overly competitive or “intense.” Note for younger players: I was worried it would be hard for my 8 year old nephew to fully grasp the single syllable rule for giving clues and to still feel like he was having fun playing a game vs feeling like he was in school or something. He struggled a little at the beginning. He did eventually get the hang of it but we also purposely chose either his Mom or myself as the one from the other team, standing next to him with the blow-up club, so we could whisper ideas or words to prompt him if he was struggling with a clue. We weren’t telling him what to say though…it’s hard to explain but if you have younger kids there’s likely so,done there who will know what I mean. He was so proud when he’d get us to guess the right thing and he had a blast playing the Bam-Bam part as well. We all did. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Played it during the holidays with family and really fun and easy to play. Suitable for small or large groups.

Great party game and easy to explain the rules and get started. Fairly quick set-up.

A lot of fun to play with friends, we laughed so much. Four of us played together which worked really well for us. Think it would be a great game to play with kids as well.

Great fun for a range of ages. Definitely helped having a couple of drinks before hand to loosen everyone up a little but it was a blast and everyone had a great time with this one. Great pacing and good quality yet quite novel with the inflatable club adding in some extra laughs - though once we got serious we forgot about it half the time and just stormed on! Great value for money and great set to start off.
