Who knew that there were different chair heights? Apparently my chair has an especially high base, so gas cylinders with a normal base indent wind up making the chair way too high. Not enough of the cylinder fits through the base. This one works perfectly. It has more of an indented section at the bottom. That fits through the chair base and the chair itself does not sit too high. It has worked well to raise and lower the chair for about a month now, so no complaints about the essential functionality.

height drop is not accurate it is less than advertised but it did enough for my legs to be able to go under my desk that's is why i give it 4 stars

If you are reading this, It is a do not buy from me. chair height is still the same like what other reviewers said. -50mm is almost 2 inches. But it didn't make a difference. I am not short by any means and just like it low or lower which it didn't make any noticeable drop.

My Noble Cahir Hero is the most comfortable office chair I have ever owned. Cleared away all my back issues. The default gas lift included is a bit too tall for me. But with this I was able to make the chair the perfect height.

The product works fine, does exactly what it says. Getting the old piston out to swap them was a major challenge, and i had to spend about 30 minutes with a dead-blow hammer and a pipe wrench to get it out, but i guess that means theres no chance of your chair ever coming apart accidentally.

Lovely black cylinder packaging, and inside absolutely no instructions. After searching online it turns out I need a cylinder removal tool, sold separately of course, not mentioned anywhere when purchasing this item. I hate having my time wasted!

I got the -5.0mm version. I first message the vendor and they sent me a diagram (see picture) which I honestly could not tell if it would work or not. I decided to take the chance and order it. Glad it worked out. The base of the lift is smaller diameter than my original one. My first original thought was to put something around it or tape some foam around it to make it the right diameter. But I just decided to pop it in and see what happens. It dropped lower but I still have 1/2" clearance above the floor, so it worked out good. This way I can actually use the lift and not relying on the shortest length. The widest section is 4" tall, and the shortest possible length of the silver section is 1 1/4" when lowering the seat to the lowest. So if the base of this lift fits your chair perfectly the length would be 5 1/4" between base and seat bottom.

Got the Epic chair about a year ago and noticed the stock gas lift that comes with it sits you a little higher than most. Getting the 3cm shorter lift works perfect. My feet now rest comfortably flat on the ground. I am a 5'10" male with average length legs.

Excellent product, came quick, and very easy to install. It aint BROKE so don't Fix It!
