Excellent protection! Wacky color!

I am very reluctant to change, but sometimes we are all forced into it and just have to accept what is! That being said, I may have had to change phones from a Samsung Galaxy 4, but I was not leaving the Galaxy family, I also was not spending over two hundred for a phone. Enter the Galaxy Note 5! Great screen, but my word am I a clod! Or, a 3 legged bull in a China shop as they say...the 3 legged part I added due to my non-gracefulness!...lol! I searched around the local "lot" buying type stores and could find nothing!I then went to Amazon, I wanted a case immediately, but 2 days would have to do as NO ONE had a case for this phone, not even a cheapy one until this one arrived. I had my doubts on the whole 2 day thing as well! To my pleasant surprise that was unfounded as my case arrived exactly 2 days later. I went through many postings for this case and many seemed to be only for SOME of this case with the belt part left out, or the screen protector not included. I finally happened upon this very one, loved the reviews, price AND colors (I went with a nice light gray and white). It arrived (nicely packaged, etc) in its original, unopened box with instructions and warranty info from Otter Box inside the case box. I grabbed a microfiber cloth, wiped my phone down and popped it into the case, secured the easy snap tabs, and popped THAT into the protective rubber case. This case had saved my S4 many times over 3 years so I am very happy to have found one for the N5. The pen is still easily accessible, the charge port is covered with a thick, but easily opened rubber flap, and same with the headphone jack. I have no issues with the touch screen responding under the screen protection part of the case, which was something I worried about due to the N5 not having a "sensitive" setting for the screen like the S4 did, but again, needless worry as it responds with no issues at all.Very happy with this case and this purchase from this seller! I highly recommend these cases to anyone that is resistant to change and hates learning the settings on a new phone, as it will protect your phone for as long as you need it for!

As a craftsmaker and body artist its really easy to damage and straight out break your phone, especially if it lives in the sun or our back pocket. Not only is the otterbox defender sleek and beautiful in design, but it also really holds up to active everyday use and abuse. i work outside a lot and around glitter and other particulate material. the port cover keep it fresh and clean and i dont have to worry about the port cover breaking off because its not always properly in place (its usually plugged into something) and gets caught on everything. my pixel 3xl lives in my back pocket if im working or driving so theres lots of opportunity for it to crack or worse. two months in and so far so good. i like that the outer case has a great feel to it and not too much but jsut perfect amount of texture so tha you can get a really good hold on it. sure getting used to the phone having that much more space because the case is that much bigger than the phone by itself took some time getting used to but after that its totally cool. id really recommend this case to anyone who needs some serious protection. its affordable and doesnt break the bank. personally i have a history of breaking devices bad enough to where they cant be fixed and its makes that much more sense to invest in a really good case and not have to worry about replacement any time soon (lets keep our fingers crossed). enjoy everyone! thanks for listening and youre welcome.

My 2nd Otterbox Case, Works Like a charm every single time!

Normally I love the Otterbox cases-in fact, I pretty much love this one. BUT! And the reason I can't give it 5 stars at this point, is the black hard shell that goes over the back of the phone is seriously lacking two elements. First, why can't I remove that dumb clip? Who clips phones anyway? No one I know. It should be an option to keep or remove it. But the other issue is something that has been a problem for me with my other OtterBox items from years ago. You can't have the full protection and still use the camera! I have a Samsung Note 10" and once I put the entire case on, I could not use the camera for quick videos etc. I had to plan on using the tablet to film. So I essentially stopped taking videos with the tablet. I thought after all these years, OtterBox might have gotten the hint (as I see so many complaints online) that there needs to be a hole for the camera to see thru on the hard case. Most people are very spontaneous with photos and videos, and by the time I take the black hard case off, the opportunity for something worth filming is gone. It certainly is my fault for not looking into the specs better. So now I have to decide either to leave the hard case off or take a chance of messing up this new phone should I drop it-full price now for new phones run around $700. The reason I went with Otterbox years ago was the reputation for protection and since I had a grand kid who was no holds barred, I wanted that protection but still be able to let him use the tablet for gaming and photo viewing. Now we added twins, and they think MY phone is theirs! The normal part of the protective case from the screen saver to the back rubber case (red at least for me), is fantastic! My phone isn't slippery anymore nor is it freezing metal cold. I just feel the black hard case for the back is an issue. I wish there was a way to fix that or adapt it better. I will continue to buy Otterbox products BUT I think I won't spring for the Defender series as I just paid $20 more for it over the Symmetry one for hubby and he can use his camera without having to pry off a hard back case.
