This is a nice looking security light that we have really appreciated since installing. Some good things to note before ordering are that the light isn't very tall if you use the recommended post, so expect it to be only about 5-6'. It also requires an electrical connection so make sure you have access to one. When installing, note that there is an electric eye on one side so that the light will automatically come on at dusk and turn off during daylight hours. While this is an awesome feature, make sure you have the eye on the opposite side of the pole from the light source, otherwise the light itself will keep turning off the fixture. Overall, it is attractive, works well, and is a nice addition to a dark area that would benefit from an automatic light.

This was purchased to replace an older, ball style lamp. I like the fact that this design directs the light down and blocks the light above it. The fixture installed easily and looks nice, although it’s a little pricey

I had a really hard time justifying 160.00 for an outdoor light. It’s just more than I would like to spend. That said, I’m glad we bought this! My only complaint is they don’t provide the wire nuts (they tell you this in the instructions). Really?!! 160.00 for a light and you can’t provide wire nuts?Installation was EASY! My 20 yo son did it for me and it is an amazing addition to our landscape. I love that it’s different from every other light in our neighborhood.But really? No wire nuts? At least the screws you said weren’t included as well, were in the package and were painted to match the fixture. So that was a nice surprise. Thanks for that at least. :)

FOR THE SECOND TIME - CAN I PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT GLASS COVER. II lost a glass "globe" in a storm. (I must not have secured the screw holders tight enough) Is there any way I can purchase a new globe? Thanks so much.Using them on a pier atop 3 1/2" aluminum poles. Install and wiring was simple. The glass light covers really did a nice job dispersing the light.Now the challenge is seeing how durable they will be over the years.Great product and great price.

I bought two of these for a remodel. They look very nice up close, and from a distance. Not the typical brass carriage-style fixture. The bonus for me was that it could take a 100 watt bulb, and it does throw a lot of light, especially with a clear bulb. It's a mystery to me why so many fixtures are top rated at 60 watts when security should dictate more light.The Sea Gull packing box said "improved". I'm not sure what was improved, but the fixture's metal parts are quite thin and lightweight. The seeded glass globe is pretty, but fragile. The lip edge is rough, and made it a bit of a challenge to seat it in the fixture to line up with the little screws. One screw hole in the metal was larger than necessary, so it doesn't really "screw" in to hold the globe. On that fixture, it was particularly difficult to get lined up, and I broke part of of the lip edge because I couldn't get equal holding pressure from all the screws. Oops. I suppose I should see about getting that replaced.One other comment is the the arch piece holds the metal portion so close to the wall mount plate that small fingers are needed to get the decorative screw over the fixture mounting bolt. It should arc just a bit further than it does now.To summarize, it's a very good looking fixture, but don't be surprised by its insubstantial feel.

This light was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect under our pergola to light up the space when needed. Had to fashion a mount to mate it up with the 4" surface mount box, but that's not the fault of the light as it was meant to mount on a flat surface. Clear LED bulb wasn't included but looks the best with it. Buy with confidence.

We've lost our last two post-lights due to wasp infestations or falling tree limbs. In an effort to maintain a post-light for more than two years we decided to go with a different style that did not consist of four panes of glass in a wasp-protecting carriage style lantern which shatters on impact when hit by a little branch. An added benefit is this shaded post-light is approved for night-sky covenants which our little neighborhood is all about promoting right now. The post-light was easy to install resulting in a still-intact marriage.

The fixture it is gorgeous. The seed glass is great. Everyone in the neighborhood is takling about it!! Unfortunately the screws that hold the glass dome were too small and just fall out - they do not hold the glass in place. As we had already cut the ceiling baffle to fit a metal conduit pipe for a 1931 home we had to rig a system to hold the glass -- would have returned product! Could have been a 5 star except for the defective manufacturing of the screw holes that held the glass dome -- either supply appropriate screws that match the bored holes or bore smaller holes.
