Q: can pre-wound bobbins be used in this machine

We do recommend using pre wound bobbins. The machine uses the SA159 bobbins which are class 96 Type L metal bobbins.

Q: Has anyone solved the problem of the clipper jerking your thread out so you have to re thread?

That was happening to me too, I found that it stops if you only put the thread through one of the 3 holes in the thread guide at the top of the machine (directly above the tension dial). The instructions say to put it through 2 of the holes, which creates more tension. If you only use one, it will stop pulling the thread out of the needle.

Q: Where does the bobbin load into this machine?

If you are looking at the machine straight on - like pictured here - the metal plate just to the left of the needle lifts up and under it a door opens down and the bobbin is housed inside. it is not a drop in. It is very easy to remove and load the bobbin. To load you just push it in until you hear the click.
