I got this 5 years ago but have used it only indoors. I never had a huge problem so I didn't have much to say. Recently I tried it at different outdoor location. I know it's not an outdoor zapper but I wanted to try. The pictures say it all. One night. 7pm to 6am. A lot of dead bugs were blown away from wind too. Enormous moths would be stunned but not killed. They would skitter and flutter about on bottom of zapper; their wings sweeping out piles of smaller dead bugs. I used a cheap paint brush to easily wipe and clean grid and grills. This zapper is worth every penny.

I purchased this bug zapper May8, 2021. Today is March 29, 2026 and it's still going strong. No problems, just hard work! I will be purchasing another one ASAP!

WARNING! DANGER! Turning off the switch on the front of the machine ONLY turns off the light. The Zapper is still powered. My plan was to scrape off a bit of moth remains stuck to the bulb with a knife, I'm glad I was using a knife with a conducting handle, because I would have been shocked at my attempt otherwise. No change to my review, except this should have been mentioned in some place except maybe those instructions I can no longer read due to bad eyesight. I repeat, I am unharmed, but feel others should know this danger. I installed this on top of my refrigerator in my ktichen and turned out the lights, putting the room into semi-darkness. Less than five minutes later I heard the "zap" of a bug dying. I have been hearing those about once an hour ever since. I have been tormented by fruit flies and sand flies that come up through my kitchen water pipes (I know this for a fact) and now they can come up and go right to their deaths by electrocution. I heartily recommend this product. My lower votes on "sheerness "and "thickness" are medium because I don't get the questions, it's a zapper, not pantyhose! UPDATE JULY 3, 2021: Bought and used it last summer to great benefit as noted above. This summer I am suffering an invasion of regular house flies. This zapper knocks them down, though not always killing them. I have found the flies crawling on my kitchen floor, no longer able to fly, and slow moving, easy to "polish them off" myself. Again, the smaller flies of the desert like Los Angeles sits in, it knocks them dead, I have no complaint about this bigger fly problem. I have to empty the tray every day of the ones it DOES kill completely, so it has a respectable kill rate even of the larger house flies.

These bug Zappers are great. They get all the tiniest of flies. It kills all the big flies.Any bugs that go in there. I recommend them fruit flies your name it. It kills them. Where? These lights come with extra balls, which is great, because after a year they do go out, and it’s nice to have them on hand, and keep them running, catching those bugs.

Me and my partner have been eaten alive by mosquitos and the aircon sticking out the window means we get a lot of flies coming in, this zapper is amazing, sometimes there is a loud POP when I big fly hits it but other than that, it’s quiet, I’ve had it on for over 12 hours since I’ve had (broken up into 2 hour slots) and we’ve got a casualty list of: 32 blue bottles, 46 mosquitoes and 9 unidentified little ones. I could not recommend this more!

My kitchen is full of flies, it has been siting in the kitchen for 4 hours and not caught one fly. I even saw one fly, fly through it, land on the bottom and then fly off again. Would love a refund, don't waste your money.

El producto no tiene apariencia de buena calidad. Lo enchufé a la corriente y en menos de 2 horas sonó como si un mosquito muy grande se hubiera electrocutado, pero sigue haciendo contacto con la rejilla electrificada, así que me asomé a ver y estaba haciendo corto circuito por dentro. Empezó a salir humo y lo desconecté. Si hubiera estado prendido sin alguien aquí, pudo generar un incendio.
