Really good design all round after using for over a year now. I thought the ergonomic design would be annoying but it's actually an amazing feature that makes holding a mouse feel more natural and comfortable. Size is also great considering I was worried it'd be too small for my hands but it fits really well. The wire also feels really good which is something I didn't expect to notice but it has a nice feel too it and doesn't feel cheap.Comes with a range of extra DPI options which are great if you need to change depending on the games you play as well as multiple extra buttons (although the side buttons feel like the most used ones as binding controls to moving the scroll wheel left and right does feel really awkward especially if you were playing a high intensity game like an FPS. The ones beneath the scroll wheel are already bound to DPI settings but you can change that if need be).RGB lighting is also nice & smooth and I've had no issues with it except when playing 1 game in particular (which I believe is the games fault anyway and not the mouses).Solid all-round mouse and would definitely recommend if you wanted to spend the money to get a decent mouse without spending too much, it's well worth the price.

I bought this mouse as a replacement for a cheaper one as I am beginning to get into gaming. And I am so glad that I did!From the moment I got it out of the box, I realised that this was no ordinary mouse. The build quality is great. It is not too heavy but it is well balanced and feels like it will last some time rather than other mice that feel flimsy.The cable on the mouse is different to any others I have had. It has like a cloth cover that helps to stop it grabbing and it slides across the desk surface well.It has adjustable resistance wheel that allows you to customise it to your own preference. The response from the buttons is really quick as it uses an optical sensor rather than mechanical. And you can change the speed of the mouse (DPI) via buttons on the mouse on the fly rather than having to go into Windows settings each time.You can download Razers accompanying software which lets you customise the mouse including RGB settings further. I have not looked into this too much yet but it seems there is a lot you can do. It also has 11 customisable buttons as well.It can seem a little expensive when not on offer but be assured that it is a great piece of kit and worth spending that little extra in my opinion.

Razer is a mixed bag, there's many reviews of how things break in a certain number of weeks/months/years or the build quality, etc. and they're not completely wrong. I had the small wireless Atheris for a good year or two but it kept loosing connection, even though I was using it with the receiver, that was in the dock, right in front of the mouse... But I digress, I said, hey, I have more space now, so on to reading reviews and FAQ's for the next 2 days to get a new one.I decided on the Basilisk V2 because of few reasons. Firstly, it was on offer, so that's always a plus, but I probably would have bought it regardless as the new V3 features really didn't bring enough improvement to justify the higher price and other products seemed fairy underwhelming in their own way. Lastly, I have other Razer products so it's nice I could control the lighting with the same account and not have to install yet another software and register yet another account to have that.It's sleek, sharp, quick to respond like you'd expect. The clicking is smooth and easy but not so much so that you accidentally click when you don't want to. Your palm rests quite easily on it and you kind of just like holding really. My biggest like about this is the small wheel right beneath the scroll wheel which can adjust how rigid the scroll is. I hate mice that either are too slow or spin like the wheels of an F1 car.

I bought this mouse as a replacement for my Roccat Kone XTD Optical, which is a fantastic mouse, especially for those with reasonably large hands (knuckle to knuckle 8cm, max span 24cm). Alas, as I've experienced with many mice one of the main button switches started to fail and register multiple clicks.My requirement for a new mouse was something that:• Good for gaming• Had a minimum of two thumb switches, two top switches, an extra button somewhere, and a twin axis scroll wheel• Fitted a hybrid grip• Wasn't going to fail too soonMy research narrowed down to this the Razer Basilisk v2, the Roccat Kone AIMO Remastered, and the Logitech G502 Hero.The Roccat was the obvious choice, but a bit shorter than the mouse it was replacing. And based on some subjective reviews of failures on Reddit, I decided that the Razer was the most likely to last. What appealed to me were the optical switches, which hopefully will be immune to the double-firing fault that often happens when switches wear out.The mouse itself is noticeably thinner than the Kone, as shown in the image. This leaves my hand hanging a bit more, but it's not terrible. This is probably my only complaint about the mouse itself. It's otherwise, very light, feels nice to hold, and glides very well. There is an extra thumb button which is really easy to actuate (and can be removed if you don't like it), and this works fantastically as a shift button. I can hold this and nudge my wheel to rapidly change profiles, or have less used shortcuts on the other buttons.For gaming the mouse works really well (I'm no pro gamer, but like my FPSs), it glides effortlessly, lifts well, and the clicks are crisp. The thumb rest on the left works really well for keeping my thumb off the table, it's a shame due to the narrow width, there is no consideration for the other fingers dangling on the right. The cord is flexible and doesn't seem to hinder movement.As with all true gaming gear, it comes with silly LEDs and garish bloatware to install. The bloatware allows you to adjust the colours and most importantly adjust profiles. Whilst some profiles can be downloaded into the device, I've noticed that before I've logged in (and the bloat started), the colouring doesn't match any of my profiles, so I'm not sure what's going on there. There is a strange button placed on the underside of the mouse for switching profiles, but with the extra thumb button acting as a shift, I've reassigned that to somewhere more accessible. Profiles can also be loaded automatically when a particular program or game is loaded - although it's almost always easier to customise the game to the controller than the other way round.The scroll wheel is worth a mention too, there is a variable adjustment on the underside that sets the stiffness level of the mouse wheel all the way down to no clicky feeling.Overall, currently I'm satisfied with this product and would recommend it if asked.
