CLOTH DIAPER MOMS W SENSITIVE BABIES NEED THIS!!!
I was using aquaphor’s 3 in 1 baby rash cream before I started using grandma els and I’m disappointed in myself for not switching sooner. There’s about a million reasons why you should get this ointment instead of the “popular” brands. Pros: 1.Safe for cloth Diapering - doesn’t stain clothes - doesn’t contain zinc (clumps up in fabric and causes leaks overtime) -zero residue left on the diaper before + after wash (it just feels good to put something that you trust on your baby’s sensitive areas) 2. It’s all Natural (no like actually) - the only “unnatural” ingredient is a light fragrance they used that can be considered an allergen but its content is so low, the ointment is deemed hypoallergenic - my baby has severe eczema and has never had diaper rash or a reaction with this product (it’s only been less than a week, but his bottom looks the same if not less irritated than when we switched, his skin is also super sensitive he would have gotten a reaction in less than 24 hours) 3. A little goes a long way - a tiny pea sized it enough to coat my sons bottom comfortably - safe to put EVERYWHERE (in diaper ofc, when he goes down for his long sleep of the night I put some on his inner thighs just to keep his skin extra protected from the diaper creases and his urine. I love that he’s not covered in a gross artificial white mess from the aquaphor, I would never put that in his inner thighs it just seems really wrong..) - the container is a jar like mechanism that ensures you get all the product without having to do anything crazy (super easy for the husband unlike the last few squirts of aquaphor diaper rash cream) I’m never going back to traditional diaper rash creams. If you care about what goes on your baby’s skin like I do, you won’t regret this. I made the switch for cloth diapers, but there were so many more positives I didn’t know I was getting. If your child has severe diaper rash, this won’t soothe it right away do to it’s no Zinc. It’ll protect and help rid your child of the rash, but not nearly as fast as the non natural medicated diaper rash creams. If you want to go natural and your child has a rash problem, I would recommend doing part time natural diaper rash cream so your child can have a quicker sooth. I’m all for natural until my child is uncomfortable, sometimes they need the medicated cream. If you put cream on your baby after every single diaper for preventing rashes and soothing over wiped areas in the diaper, this is most definitely for you. It reminds me of aquaphors healing ointment just but not nearly as sticky and greasy feeling. This feels clean and RIGHT on my baby’s skin. A lot of creams and ointment deemed safe for cloth diapering actually cause leaks over time, or clump up in the fabric despite claims. This is one I found that actually had good reviews from multigenerational cloth diapering family’s. This was extremely reassuring for a FTM. This will save you money, time, and effort. I love it. Thank you. Being a parent, there’s simple things that make everyday tasks a million times easier. This is one of those things. It’s safe, it’s easy, and it’s mess free. I say if you’re skeptical give it a try, you’ll be amazed.

Go to for everything skin!
I love Grandma El's. Smells great, goes on great, and works! Our daughter has never had a diaper rash and we use this when we start to note a little redness in her bottom. By the next change, it's all gone. This is also one of the few diaper creams compatible with cloth diapers. Update 3/23/17: Been using this cream for four years now and wanted to update on a couple of things. Still prefer this product above all other creams. 1. Price- yes it's more expensive than other creams but a tub goes a long way. In 4 years, I've only purchased 4 of these. 2. Effectiveness - for minor redness this stuff works great and is effective within hours. For severe diaper rash, like any other product you have to lather this on like icing on cake. You have to put a lot so that the skin underneath gets a chance to heal without being exposed to the acidity of urine. If you do that, it will wipe out the rash but it will take a day or two much like other diaper rash creams. 3. Eczema- my daughter has moderate eczema and I've tried every cream recommended but nothing seemed to moisturizer and protect her skin well enough. One day I notice an eczematous rash on her bum and decided to put grandma els on it. The next day her rash wasn't inflamed anymore and her skin felt and looked more moisturizer. This was the aha moment. I decided to buy a tub and use it specifically as moisturizer for the entire body and within a day, the dryness decreased, her skin felt moisturized, and the redness and itching went down significantly. Needless to say, I use this for her eczema now exclusively. It does make the skin look shiny but it wouldn't have been any different with Vaseline. Overall this is a great product with multiple uses for kids. I can imagine that this would also be great for sunburn and overall skin dryness.

Love this Ointment!
This is a really great ointment. Works with cloth diapers since it has no petroleum, and when my babe did start to get even a little red helped to comfort the skin and bring moisture back!

Cloth diaper essential!
Loving this!!!! This is weird, but it smells like the scented strawberry shortcake dvd cases I had in the early 2000’s, or the lip smacker strawberry flavor 🥹😅🫶🏻 it’s been a great cloth diaper safe barrier for my EXTREMEMLY sensitive baby. We switched him to cloth after issues with every disposable diaper and disposable wipe, every top market brand cream eventually became an irritant as well, so far it’s been smooth sailing with this one. It’s very pleasant. A little goes a long way, it glides on super gentle over already sensitive skin, the scent is so light/gentle but appreciated (I look forward to huffing the jar during stinky changes lol), and overall my diapers have been washing up with no trace of this beautifully over the last 6 washes or so, still no buildup or anything visible. Hopefully we keep not developing any reaction to this, because this ones been my absolute favorite!

The best so far
Our cloth-diapered son has had persistent issues with diaper rash. Just in case the details are helpful: the rash was not on his bottom, it was on the front of his crotch and a bit around his legs where his diapers rub. It did not seem to be caused by wetness, because it usually improved when he slept in a soaked diaper overnight. The rash got pretty bad (bright red and blistery) over a period of about a month and a half, and this was the third diaper cream we tried. The competitors included: CJ's BUTTer-- smelled delicious (we had the coconut lime), but didn't really seem to do anything. The stick form was much easier to apply and possibly worked slightly better than the squeeze bottle form. Earth Mama Angel Baby-- I liked the lavender smell, but my husband didn't. We weren't a fan of the shea butter chunks that didn't spread well and made us feel like we were rubbing grit against our baby's tender bottom. It did seem to help somewhat. I suspect that it may be good at rash prevention, or for healing a minor rash, but it didn't get rid of our rash. Grandma El's has a pretty mild and inoffensive odor, although I wouldn't call it pleasant. It spreads well and it's easy to get an even, thin coating. It improved my son's rash right away, and cleared it up after a day or two of use. We've been using this product pretty consistently, and we still get frequent rash issues, but the rash never progresses beyond pale pink. So it's not perfect, but compared to what we were dealing with before, this is a big improvement. We've been using this for about two months and have had zero issues with staining or repelling on our cloth diapers, which are mostly BumGenius Freetimes and Tots Bots Easy Fits (the old kind, with the bamboo instead of the minky).

The best!
This is our go to rash cream. My baby has never had a rash and I swear it's because of this cream. It cleans super easily, compared to others we tried at the beginning. I just wish they had an even larger tub, lol.
