The case is good and I feel safe with it but I will probably find different straps these are just the hard flexible plastic. Review: Only got to use it for one day - It was a great knife... Until I tried to cut a zip tie off the handlebars on my bike ... And slit my wrist... And hit the artery... I was at the transit station at the time and the Transit Police took it from me... Said they wanted to go over the film to make sure I wasn't trying to kill myself

Both are good grades for knives
I see complaints about rusting..but after using this knife for a week I had no problem. Let me regress here. Stain Less steel dates back to the first world war..notice my seperation of the word stainless. Today there are more then 200 types of stainless steel. This is supposed to be 440 or perhaps 420. Both are good grades for knives..but if not treated properly will rust over time depending on what they are subjected to..So after you rinse with fresh water apply a thin coating of oil...even suntan lotion will work. and by the way there is no LEGAL definigtion of the word stainless .. The butt on this knife is heavy enough to tap a curious shark on the nose something we use to use a weighted billy club for...Dollar for dollar it's a good deal

Its good enough for one vacation.
Even though it is inexpensive which is exactly what I was looking for, I think you can do better. Maybe much better if you spend a little more. I use to have a nice dive knife when I was a teen. I had it strapped to my ankle and used it for fishing for several years. It got lost in time. Now decades later, I had gotten into kayak fishing and wanted to get an inexpensive knife that can do whatever needed mostly for fishing. I plan on getting a slightly bigger, heavier, stronger knife similar to the inexpensive one I had. This one doesn't feel like you can count on it if you life depended on it. Now if you are going to take a vacation and want a dive knife to use just once and then give it to the locals, this is the perfect knife for that. Its not full tang, the blade turns into a long skinny screw and comes out the back similar to full tang. The metal is weak, the plastic is weak, but the package isn't so bad. If I find another knife I will glue this one onto the Kayak or the tackle box.

HAHAHAHAHA
I was guessing this was going to be a hot piece of crap only being $20...and I was right. Looks like something you would see at a flee market for $5 then negotiate down to $3. I can't stress how cheap this is and see why divers were complaining about it, thank God I'm just taking this on a fresh water kayak trip. The main thing that makes me mad is that it only came with one set of straps no bonus longer one like in the advertisement. I wanted this for my thigh and the straps are too small (I have a 32 waist) so this is about useless for me. The release clip connection is super thin plastic that I don't see lasting long at all. Guess I'll keep it in my dry bag or trash can.
