Our pool came with a sand filter. It does work well, but it can not keep the surface clean. This skimmer did the trick. Installation is quick. It keeps the pool free from floating debirs. It is also very easy to clean out.

This skimmer is a very simple design, easy to set up, seems to be a good quality product. I added the filter socks to my purchase since I get a fair amount of leaves, tiny gnats and bugs and felt it would be best to keep them out of the sand filter.Well worth the money!Rudy

Needed a skimmer for our above ground pool and this does a reasonably good job. Only complaint is that once hooked up, you can't open up your sand filter. The only way to do this is to either detach the skimmer from the water intake so you can plug the inlet, or remove it from it's mounting position and hold it above the water line. Very inconvenient.

Well priced, I have a 18x9 bestway pool. At this point, it’s like a professional pool since I upgraded the filter and skimmer. Works great. Easy to connect. Helps with making good suction. Eliminates the bugs.

Not very useful for a smaller pump. I have a 500 gph pump, blocked off one port and there was not enough suction to pull the debris into the basket. Probably would work well with higher flow though as it's a simple design

Works on my 12' pool with a small sand filter. Removes the surface trash that the below water level suction on my pool did not get.

I bought this brand to go with our pool. Pieces would not stay together(tubes would not stay attached), kept floating up and not staying in place. Since it would not sit at water level it did not work which caused issues with water flow and filter. Not worth it at all.

doesn’t filter as much as a built into pool sidewall unit but does do well, if your pool uses two intakes I recommend plugging one with the plug that has a smaller hole in it or like I did was made a hole in one of my rubber plugs. So the main intake of water is directed into your skimmer, and the other still sucks water to stop air from entering lines.

This skimmer works great at skimming off the floating leaves & bugs and was very simple to install.

No funciona como se presenta, no limpia ni filtra. Supone un consumo de luz y depuradora inútil.
