I’ve been using these referee headsets for a few years now. They are inexpensive compared to systems marketed to equestrians (i.e. CeeCoach) and IME opinion more reliable and easier to use. Battery lasts a long time and they are good over a much greater distance than a dressage court (I often lesson in a grass driving arena that’s four times the size of a dressage arena and coverage is great even when I’m at the far corner from my coach). They come with an armband but you can also get a belt clip for them or just stick them in a vest/jacket pocket. The headsets are wired and since I don’t love having the sound shoved in my ear I use a small binder clip to hold the ear speaker to my helmet harness. I can hear well and it’s easy to remove after warmup at shows. Very happy with the system and the price.There is a short learning curve about pairing but once paired they just work and work well.

I would have liked to know what the b,c,d,e buttons are for. And it has a phone button, for what. No user manual came with it, and got no info online. But I am enjoying talking to my hard of hearing partner, while we are in different rooms and it works up to almost 300 feet.

We decided to test these at a sports shoot at a decent sized small stadium (5,000 seats). Worked exceptionally well. Clear and loud enough to hear on opposite ends to coordinate. Battery didn’t die and we used them for around 5 hours straight without powering off. We generally use Came-TV headsets which work great, but that set was out on a separate shoot which gave us the opportunity to try these. Would recommend for videographers. Also a note, this particular stadium has a lot of trouble with signal interference, but these had no issue at all.

Works great for high-level NCAA volleyball officiating. It's tricky to figure out how to pair and sync these with the instructions but watching a video online helped immensely. They seem to last a long time. The cord is long enough and I'm 6'5". I would also recommend buying a belt clip and the in-ear attachment because these ear pieces do not stay on your ears.

The units are fairly easy to pair but the belt clips are a joke as much as the lead length from ear/mic to device should be 8 to 10 inches longer. The earpiece is very uncomfortable & twists the mic away from the mouth. It also slips down with no way to keep it up. There is no one size fits all earpiece. I have made slight modifications to the earpiece headset to keep the mic in place up & down. Now I will engineer a fix to the pivot point from ear piece to ear hanger as well cause it is also poorly designed & flops away from mouth. There must be a better set of mic/earpieces?! If so Maxquall needs to make something available NOW. DO NOT BUY UNTIL QUESTIONS RESOLVED.

I umpire field hockey. My partner and I have no trouble communicating the full length of the field (120 yds on the diagonal). The charge lasts for at least 3 hours. I have gotten over 5 hours with a 15 minute recharge at the 3hour mark.Once you get the hang of pairing, which is not hard, just finicky, you'll be fine.The directions that come with it seem to be an English translation of another language. As such, you might have to read them a couple of times.The only issue I've had, which is annoying but minor, is the wind covers come off. I have not been able to find replacement wind covers that fit properly. Don't let that keep you from buying these!

Inconsistent pairing and erratic sound quality. Instructions are poorly printed and seemingly incomplete. Font is too small. No photos. I don't have time to continuously "fix" usage while officiating Volleyball matches.

I'm a volleyball official and they worked pretty good. The issue we came across is that the cord is a bit short. If I had a tall partner it was a little harder to keep on and not disconnect. Battery life is great, great value for money and it charges quick. I didn't like the case on the sleeve or that it didn't come with clips. Maybe you should have a choice upfront. Overall I am very satisfied with head phone. It's also a Great trading tool.
